| For anyone not sure about visiting their doctor... I hope you don't mind me posting but thought my experience may help others be more hopeful about visiting their doctor and not thinking they are bothering them.
AF has not paid me a 'proper' visit since October 09 when I stopped the bcp. I went to a nurse in January who blood tested for pregnancy, this was negative but she said give it one more month to see if my body had kick started itself - this would be 4 months with no AF.
Nothing happened so went back to see her and she ran blood tests for thyroid, hormone levels and anaemia and told me to book in with my doctor.
Been to see my doctor this morning who confirmed all blood results are normal. He said 'its nearly been 6 months hasn't it' (well really just over 4) so he has sent off for me to have a scan to check for polycystic ovaries which he doesn't think it is but wants to make sure. I was told it may be abit of a wait for the scan - i'm thinking months, he says 3 weeks - ok by me! After the scan i'll go back to the docs for my results and if he needs to he'll refer me to a gyne (sp) who will be able to help.
So although i'm rambling on I just wanted to say i'm so pleased that my doctors surgery is really pro-active and don't think you have to wait ages with no bfp's before asking your doctor for help.
