Confusion re DPO and days before AF??

Apologies in advance for sounding like a numpty!!

So i'm using the CB Ovulation sticks and got my smiley face on a Sunday - i didn't do another test the day after.

Bearing in mind it says you may ovulate in the next 48 hours - when would you count your day 1 past ovulation???

Next dumb question.... (I've been saving them up sorry!)

If you were due on this Sunday - and you can use some HPT 4 days before you are due on... when would you count the 4th day? I promise i'm not obsessing i just feel sooooooo confused!! I mean, i would count Sunday as being 4 days from today but if i counted back (with Sat being 1 day) then 4 days would be Wednesday.

Before you say it.... this is why people wait until after

is late eh???

Any advice would be mucho appreciated!!

I'm due

Sunday but feel strangely calm about it all which is odd for me after months of stressing!!!!

if ur due sunday - yesterday was the earliest u could tes - (u count four days back from sunday basically)

I've been confused about exactly the same thing, how do you figure out what day you o'd on?! I put it down as the latest of the possible days so I didn't get my hopes up too early...

Thats what i figured - i was presuming that i OV on the Sunday since that's when i go my smiley face but if it was Monday it was later?? so confusing!

I was reading the paperwok on a CB HPT and it said on 50% of pregnant women get a positive result 4 days before - even more reason to take it with a pinch of salt!!!

Hey Chick, im using the cb ov kits too, and i got my smiley face saturday and i usually count the actual ov day as Monday I guess so i dont test too early with my hpts. Yeah you could have tested yesterday if your due sunday. Niicola's right you just count back. Bet your dying to test hey? I always test early even when i say im not going to, i just cant help myslef but then i hate the feeling of disappointment then when i keep getting bfn's and then cant afford to buy any more hpts!!! Bought a load off ebay as they were so cheap in the end just so i could start testing early if i wanted.

Thanks Fran - tested yest but pee'd on my hand instead (nice!) then did one this morning but

Felt convinced i was pregnant but only becuase out of all my psychosomatic symptoms, the horrid strong metal mouth was the weirdest... having said that i think i'm spotting now and i have AF like cramps. I think i shall go for a run later to get my head in a happy place before my body crumbles under the pressure!

I work it out as yesterday too - it doesn't matter whether you count forwards or backwards. Sunday isn't four days from today- it's 3. Think about it like this- friday is one day from today, saturday is 2, sunday is 3 and monday is 4. So today is the earliest day to test if you're due on Mon. Just test anyway!!!
