As some of you know oxsarahxo sadly lost her baby girl Jessica Charlotte Reay hours after giving birth. We are arranging a star to be named after Jessica and a lantern for her resting place from all of us. We also thought it would be nice to make a contribution to Sarah & Matt so they can use it towards flower arrangements, head stone or resting place arrangements. If you would like to contibute please PM me for details. I'm Currently Feeling: | Masking My TTC Obsession.... My OH and I decided to start TTC a couple of months ago. I was absolutely thrilled, and immediately over-excited at the prospect of becoming a mummy.
I bought five or six books on conception, pregnancy and birth, and set about ploughing my way through them, while my gorgeous OH looked on with a grin on his face, teasingly calling me a geek. I daren't tell him I also joined this forum 'cause i knew that would add more fuel to the fire and that I'd never hear the end of my new Geekaziod status! (He can't use a computer and really doesn't understand anything about forums or the Internet in general, bless him, so anything remotely technical is by default 'nerdy'!) I've also been charting my cycles, and spending a large part of my day daydreaming about the day we'll get a BFP. However, I'm very concious about getting OTT about it all, especially as I've had repeated bouts of illness which has meant we've temporarily put our TTC plans on hold. Although I've kept up to date on my reading and charting, I thought I'd tone it down in front of my OH, as I suspected I'd started to do his head in with all my bouncing round singing 'You're gonna make me preg-nant, you're gonna make me preg-nant!'
Anyway, my efforts to take my enthusiasm down a peg or two now appears to have backfired, as last night, OH sat me down to ask if having a baby was what I really wanted.... ARRRRRGHHH!! He said he missed the 'you're gonna make me preg-nant' song, and that he felt I wasn't as into the whole thing as I had been. Feeling like a total doofus, I sheepishly admitted I'd been reading at the library instead of at home, and that I thought I'd been annoying the crap out of him with my incessent ramblings about conception and babies
So anyway, the long and the short of it is, making babies is now Hot Topic Number 1 again, and I have full reign to bounce around singing | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | Thank you girlies, am well excited and bouncing around again! Am keeping a watchful eye on OH though, looking for signs that I'm becoming obsessed* - a fate that's all too easily acomplished in the old TTC game I fear!!
*Signs include glazed eyes, yawning, rolling of the eyes, forced grinning, and reluctance to come near me! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | That's so cool that you can share this with your OH.
I haven't told hubby about ANY of this. The only conversations we've had was to decide which month I'd stop taking BCPs. He feels that getting knocked up should occur "naturally", so he would totally think I'm obsessed if he knew I was on here everyday. (I mean, I probably am a *little* obsessed but that's beside the point!) Anywho, he doesn't even know when I Ov'd or that I've been taking HPTs for the past 5 days. (I hide the tests under the sink in the bathroom - is that nuts or what???)
So keep singin and rantin for those of us who keep their obsessions hidden in guilt and shame! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Oh Lord I'd blow a fuse if I had to "protect him" from the TTC obsession. Say what?!? Aren't they grown ups? Isn't it enough that we do all the pain and the planning and the worrying and they mostly only do the BD, they need emotional sheltering from the topic too?
No Siree, mine can read a chart with the best of you, has a very clear idea of when I Oed and how well he has to perform why depending on the temperature, he ordered the CBFM, just bought more PreSeed and just moments ago finished telling me on the phone that we shouldn't test early but wouldn't OPKs work too? He's even started taking his vitamins without probing on my part.
And don't get me wrong, I don't have Mr.Sensitivity that wants children more than life as my OH, not by far, regular bloke, wants the kiddie but started out slow in the informational, worry and insanity race TTC is, he was just trained well. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I try to keep most of my craziness away from Dh incase he thinks I've gone slightly insane - he thinks B&B is just an informative fertility site!
He's very enthusiastic about TTC but don't think he'd ever be quite as involved in the whole process as me - having said that, I am prone to having a bit of an addictive personality and now it's transferred to B&B!!! |
