| I know what you mean, i feel the same... scared it will never happen. Scared we wont be able to do it naturally and that there may be something wrong.
Im 25. my OH is a very fit 23 yr old. i thought the odds were FOR us falling pregnant straight away (or at least quickly anyway) not against us
I mean, i've spent so many years trying NOT to get pregnant, and being told how "easy" it is to get pregnant "be careful, it only takes one night to make a baby!"
now im like - yeah right!! i've been off BCP's since august 2007 - and NOTHING!!!!!!!!!!
now i have some silly conspiricy theory that the government have been putting something in our BCPs to stop us falling pregnant - to help reduce the population...... im nuts hey!!
See what this TTC is doing to my sanity!!! | | | | Status: Offline

See what this TTC is doing to my sanity!!! | I have a similar feeling about BCP - well not a government conspiracy theory as such, but i feel that this is the reason its not happening quicker for us. I am a bit older than you (me - 29, OH - 31) but not so much older it should make a difference really! I strongly feel that being on BCP is what is stopping us conceiving. I have no proof of course, but i am sceptical that it is as safe as what the dr's made it out to be. I discussed with my G.P. about 2 years ago now whether i should come off the pill as it was always our intention that as soon as we got married we would start TTC. Dr told me i should stay on BCP right until we wanted to start TTC. I think that was crap advice and i shouldn't have listened.
Ah well, i have to keep telling myself today - who wants a christmas baby anyway? all that happens is you have to buy double presents (christmas and b'day) at the time you are most skint. January baby is definitely the way to go- you can buy loadsa birthday gifts in the sales then!!!

I'm Currently Feeling: | Just wanted to say THANKYOU SO MUCH girlies.
I felt so down and tearful this morning, i really didn't know how i was going to get through today. I kept imagining me making a complete fool of myself at work by breaking down and announcing to my colleagues that i was crying because i "want a baby"!!! I can't tell you how much being able to rant to people who know what i'm talking about has helped me today. I've sometimes thought (like other people have expressed in other posts) that coming on these boards doesn't help sometimes - but today has just shown me how supportive and kind complete strangers can be, and i thank you from the bottom of my heart, for lifting me back up again today. I hope one day i can return the favour to each and every one of you.
Sending to everyone TTC and to you all xxx | | | | Status: Online

| My Evil witch came yesterday too. Aargh, I get so depressed, it's horrible. Even though I know it is coming. I've been pregnant twice before, 2 m/c unfortunately, I know what it feels like when it's not, but I still get depressed. Don't worry, I'm still older, 32 with not a good history, been ttc for 11 months, but it just must happen one day again, won't it? Some of us just have to wait so much longer! | | | | Status: Offline
