Anyones periods just dissappeared for no reason?

1 AF in 13 months and my doctor says my hormone levels are fine.

I'm going for a second opinion but still i have researcged and found no reason for it .

PCOS has been ruled out

Please anyone have any ideas I'm only 29 to early for menopause and this has already been ruled out too!!!

I'm driving myself crazy

Really sorry don't have anything to suggest, just didn't want to read and run...

I'd be going totally crazy by now - I assume you don't ovulate either?

After 13 months I think doc should refer you to fertility specialist..

I agree with SBB. Could be you're not ovulating. Has the doc check this out?

13months is a heck of a long time!! I would be climbing the walls!!! I'm on CD 36 and it's driving me nut! Can't imagine how you're feeling. Good luck.

It is driving me crazy!!!!

I'm having a second opinion on the 5th march but can't see my own consultant till the 28th june.

My gp last week said it might be stress but i'm not stressed untill i get to the surgery and realise they are not going to help again.

The next person to say it's strees is going to get a big slap!!!

All i want is an answer but even fertility treatment in hard without AF and plus they have said we are not able to get funding on the nhs but without a diagnosis private IVF will be even more expensive.

I know stress affects cycles, but 13 cycles - really?! That's got to be seriously unlikely.

When you next go, I'd start by being really nice to the doctor you see, explain how upsetting this is for you and that you really want someone to take you seriously. If they then don't give you the answer you want, offer fertility treatment or at least try and come up with something that could help - then refuse to leave until they do!

I find if you slag them/NHS/other doctors off they get really stroppy and are less inclined to help. So I think nice to begin with - then start the slapping if the word stress comes up!

Good luck x x x x

Dont lose hope hun. I have a cousin who gets AF only twice a year and yet she has 2 kids already. There's always hope.

I haven't had AF since Sept. 2008...so that's 1 year and 4 months. People always tell me it could be stress and I want to scream....of course everyone has stress but to go so long without AF just due to stress is insane. There are times I'm completely calm and stress free but it still doesn't come. It's nice without AF but not nice also because it can mean not ovulating and such. Good Luck! I sympathize with you.

Your only hope as this stage is wait it out for the specialist so they can see whats going on, I would asked to at least be referred to a gyno in the meantime when you see the doc in March, 13 months is way too long for anyone women at your age whether they are ttc or not to go without having periods, there has to be some underlying problem there, unless its the result of the evil depo shot of course. Good luck hun, hope it gets sorted sooner rather than later!

Didn't want to read and run mine have always been irregular but normally about 6wks. I always igored it until I went 9months when i started to worry something was wrong like you my hormlnes were fine.

Doc said that it can happen in women that their overies just shut down for a time particually if you've never been on the pill. I had a slight bleed a few days later then the AF from hell about 3 weeks later without any intervention.
