Fertility Foods

We all know there are lots of food aphrodisiacs - I don't mean that! What I want to know is if there are certain foods which help increase fertility (either scientifically proven or just what your grandma thinks) - everything I search for on the net tells me what I shouldn't be eating and drinking, but I want to know if anything actually helps you when TTC?????

Fruits, vegetables, wholegrain cereals, nuts, seeds and meat products are rich in these antioxidant vitamins which are supposed to aid in conception.

i bought a great book which you dont have to use if you have fertiltiy probelms but tells you exact vitamins and herbs for men and women, alternative therapies, lifestyle and a comprehensive section on food. Its pretty strict like try to cut out caffeine and e numbers and eat as much organic produce as you can and eat things like brown rice and pasta instead of white and pumpkin seeds and nuts are good especially for men. its called natural solutions to infetility by marilyn glenville i got it off amazon!

I read somewhere along the line that fresh pineapple helps with implantation by making the uterine lining thicker. Mmmm! Not sure if this is true or not but fresh pineapple is lovely anyway ... and good for you.

That sounds like a great book!!! I think E numbers can be deceptive tho- Did you know that all the vitamins can be written as E numbers? It's just a code that everyone understands all over the world without having to worry about language barriers. i try to eat organically - there's nothing available as "organic" in the supermarkets where I live, but the market stuff looks fresh (don't know about pesticides tho) so I try grow my own, but most of it dies

Apparenty you can buy stuff caled veggie wash in heath food shops which you can use to wash fruit and veg before consumption which removes the pesticides but the book says no one is sure if/how much has been absorbed into the food! Im gona see if i can get some! Growing your own...id love to do that but i dont have a garden

That does sound like a good book and deffo looking into getting a copy.
A friend of a Friend was trying to have a baby when she was 38, now 40. She went and got a book, the name of which i'm awaiting and bascially she followed all it said and with in 4month she fell with her daughter and then 9months later with twin boy's.
Apparantly she munched Blueberries non stop. Which i have started to do, but BE WARNED they stain you tougne and your teeth...... so i have at work a tooth brush and paste to avoid looking like Violet from Charlie and The Choco Factory

X

What a coincidence! I hardly ever eat fresh pineapple but now I'm on CD 7 (implantation time I hope) and I just ate loads of it. Hope it does me good.
