Agnus Castus

I have just read that agnus castus can help restore normal hormone levels, can regulate periods & even restart them if they have stopped. Anyone on here taking it? If so have you had any benefits?

hiya, personally for me i used agnus castus after having the mirena for me it was a nightmare it totally mucked up my cycle,i wasnt ovulating til much later in cycle if at all my periods were 50 days apart,i know it takes 3 months plus to get into your system but for me it was a nightmare!!

I took agnus castus as I was having fairly long cycles - ovulating around cd25. I read it can regulate your periods. Here is what happened to me after starting cd1 of a new cycle.

Spotted for several days after af.
STOPPED ME FROM OVULATING - I had to stop taking it and eventually ovulated on cd41!
The following cycle it was still in my system and caused another later ovulation around cd30 but also INTERMITTENT BLEEDING throughout cycle. It was very scary.

So many people recommend it because they 'hear it's good' without actually trying it. I always reply to threads on it, because it seriously mucked me up and want to save anyone I can from that!

Also docs wont do any testing if chance agnus castus or any other type of herbal remedy in your system so it can delay things even more for you.
