Anxiety Attack

So today I had to go to a class (college) and right before I left I took a hpt and got a BFN (don't ask me why I did it right before my class just did). so when I got to the school I started feeling really weird and when I walked through the door I was instantly overwhelmed and so I went straight to my class room and sat there for 15 min while it got louder and louder in the class and then right in the middle of it all I had a massive anxiety attack! I had to leave in a hurry!

I need to get past all of this! Its only getting worse! Last week I found out a girl in my class (who can't be more than 18) is Pregnant and was talking about how she is so glad that now that she has had an ultra sound she is happy cause she knows her baby isn't ugly! WTF how stupid is that!

I have had a few of these over the last couple of weeks. I didn't know what it was and was quite worried until I described my symptoms to my auntie who knew straight away. Its probably down to stress

Hope things get better for you xx

I have had anxiety and panic disorder for years so i can sympathise with you on this one. Sometimes everything gets to us and we dont even realise, then the subconcious just deals with it all in the only way it can, fight or flight, and you get a panic / anxiety attack. I would advise seeing your doctor if they continue, you may be lucky and its just a one off. I just dont want you to get to the point i did (5 years ago), where I couldnt leave the house. Mine are alot better now and i only occasionally have them at night in my sleep which i have no control over.

Try and keep calm and not to stress, which is hard when ttc, especially when you get comments like you mentioned from girls who are already pregnant. It sometimes seems like the whole world is getting pregnant really easily and it makes your own journey seem longer and harder too.
If you get them often (i hope not) try taking around a paper bag which is excellent for if you have problems with hyperventilating. Also a bottle of water which stops your throat drying out and there are alot of good natural aids like rescue remedy which are helpful too.

I hope this was a one off for you and you get your BFP very soon. xxx

.

i have also been a sufferer of anxiety/panic disorder since childhood. and it has indeed been worse since TTC. but ya know what they say, it comes when you least expect it, so maybe you should try a month of active BDing but no charting or anything.. and try not to think of TTC. i hope you get your BFP hun!! im in pretty much the same boat as you, only my best friend is pregnant, and like 3 of my other friends are too..they all got preg right away.. and here i am, obsessing and charting and spotting every possible pregger sign.. haha. just hang in there dear! xoxo

Thank you guys for the info and advice! I really needed to know that someone else was out there!

You see I have taken the most laid back ttc ever! For the last 9 months I haven't charted 1 month i used softcups like 4 months ago and nothin! This month I am pulling out all the stops and I need to get over my social phobia! To top matters off My best friend in the whole world (our firsts are 2 months appart) started trying when I did and she is now 4 months prego! My attacks are coming because of all different reasons but they all basically build up to that BFN!
