Oh Alice

Take it from me - 27 is not old to be having kids! I'm 38 and had my first kid at 35. I'm actually glad I waited as I feel like I'm a better mommy than I would have been at a younger age, but that's just me!

That makes a lot of sense actually Journey
Many of my friends (who are the same age as me) are onto their second babies, and i'm sitting there still not a mother, and well, i feel a bit, out of place sometimes. xx

Oh honey, big hugs

I've been feeling very similar recently, that OH and I should have started trying for a baby sooner, I shouldn't have been on the pill for so long etc etc. I'm just turning 27 too and its so frustrating after all the years of obsessing about taking the pill, worrying if we missed one, then you come off it and *nada*

I finished my last pill cycle at the end of Nov, it seems like a lifetime ago but in reality really isn't (that's what I keep telling myself )

Most of my friends have kids, or are married, my logical side knows I'm pleased I waited, that my OH is the perfect person to have kids with and that 'the time is now right' but my irrational side feels its not fair!

We sound so similar!
I took my pill religiously, and this time last year, missing a pill what have made me shudder!!
Well November was 5 months ago, it is a while! But hey, we are still in the 1 year mark .. i'm sure it will happen soon, it's just really hard not knowing when!!
OH are still not married (and my parents will be very disapointed) but i've stopped caring what they think, we don't need to be married to have a baby, we've been together long enough, and a baby is a bigger commitment than anything!

Ah, I totally understand how you gals feel. I've been really lucky in that most of my friends have kids under age 5 - seems we all decided on our own to wait to have kids. But it definitely sucks when everyone wants to know what's taking so long or you feel like you're not moving at other people's timetable. Heck, my mom had been holding her breath before I had my son and I didn't even know it! When I told her I was pregnant (and I hadn't even told anyone we were trying), the first word out of her mouth was "Whew!"

It will happen when its supposed to and you will be soooo happy and thankful when it does!
