did I get a clearblue false positive?

I think I may be going slightly insane.

We have been ttc for a year now and unfortunately suffered a miscarriage in june last year.

I am around 4 days late so decided to take a clearblue digital test this morning. When I took the box out I dropped it on the floor. It came back very quickly that I was pregnant 3+ weeks. It seemed to work normally (I have taken a few of them in my time).

Needless to say I was over the moon. I took another clear blue this afternoon and got back a Not Pregnant Result and got the same thing with a First Response test.

Could it possibly be that the first test was right? I have been peeing all day so I suppose my urine is very diluted... I know I should wait and test again tomorrow morning! Is there hope?

Hi miss H, well a tentative CONGRATS!!
If it's any consolation, my doctor said that it's quite common to have a false negative but extremely rare to get a false positive!! It could just be that you're very early pregnant and as you say you're urine is more diluted!!

Will keep my fingers crossed for you, let us know how you get on in the morning!! I really hope you get the answer you want!!

Loads of baby dust to you x x x

Id do another in the morning! It would seem that maybe the second one your urine was not concentrated enough?

Use FMU tomorrow, hopefully congratulations are in order for you hunny! xxx

Hi miss h, I just used a clearblue digital, and I got "pregnant" pretty quickly. The 2-3 weeks took about 1-2 mins longer to show. I've only done the 1 test though, and am terrified to test again in case it changes its mind. I will use my other one this day next week to see a 3+ hopefully. I hope you are pregnant miss - maybe when you test 1st thing tomorrow you'll get the right result...

FX with FMU!

It's unlikely that dropping the test will have any affect on it - unless you dropped it in a toilet of a pregnany woman's wee!!! I think they probably suffer a far worse fate going through the machinery that makes them, and in the delivery truck to Boots!
