Anyone ever tried the First Response Fertility test?

I bought this test and supposed to take it on cycle day 3 which will be tomorrow but now I'm debating whether or not I should take it. I'm scared if I get an abnormal result then I will just obsess about it?? Wondering if anyone else has taken it and can share their experience?

I used it on the same day my MD had blood drawn to check the same hormone levels. I got a positive result (as in indicating good fertility.) My MD labs were the same soooo MY experience was positive. My understanding is it measures FSH in the urine. If the levels are off it could indicate a low egg reserve. It has been about 4 months since I researched it so... I could be off a bit

It only tests ovarian reserve, but I did take it and mine was normal too...so...but that is all it will tell you:if you have enough good eggs left, nothing else. If you are under 30, I wouldn't waste my time or money unless you suspect an early menopause

High or normal fsh on its own too isnt a good indication of anything really, you have to put it together with what the other hormones are doing at that same stage, it could potentially scare the willies out of you if you get a bad result and you may not have a problem at all! If you want some peace of mind I would go the route of cd3 bloods to get a better picture rather than that test.

I did read the fsh can vary each month so even with getting normal results I'm taking it with "a grain of salt"...I'm sure my doctor would smack me if she knew I even took this test seeing as we've only been TTC for 4 months, but I am over 30 so I figured what the heck

But it comes with 2 tests! And you take them 2 months in a row to give you a better picture. If you get 2 normal results then you are probably OK in the FSH/ovary department. Of course, you could get lucky and get 2 normal tests if one normally has high FSH virtually al the time and have a false impression, but not likely.
My results came back very light (good) and looked the same both months, if one has any question if the result is close to the control (meaning it is almost as dark) I would definitely question my FSH. If it was light both months that is good news!
