| Seriously concerned about 'short' luteal stage I'm really getting myself in a cufuffle. I think it's one of my more insane TTCing months, as u may notice from my posts
Basically, tonight's obsession is my short luteal stage (time betw OVing and getting AF). I'm sitting here, watching American Idol and starting to get seriously worried about having O'd so late (nothing 2 do with Simon Cowell) and only having a 10-day (maybe less) lutheal stage. The more I read up on it, the more it concerns me. Anyone else have this concern? I'm going to start taking vitB6 (as soon as I buy it on Sunday) as apparently, it helps with this.
But I'm worried I may not get my baby lamb this month cos of it - and until I sort it out, I won't get a BFP for a while. I need to get knocked up by July really cos my bro's wedding abroad next year (can't fly heavily PG or with a newborn)
To add to this, my internet connection keeps failing, grrrrrrrrrr!

| Thanks honey. I just need to stop obsessing, right, and think 'o well, if no baby lamb this month, I can always focus on increasing my luteal stage next month'. xx |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I worry about that too Trixie...I soon will find out though (hopefully) as my gyn is checking on my whole cycle process to see what is going with me. Maybe you could just pop into your gyn and ask them if they can just take blood after you think you O'd...and they could take a look and see if in fact you did O and when AF might come. Hopefully AF NEVER COMES!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Do you have a Gyno you can call? I think they will have more of an idea, perhaps you're AF will be late? (if she arrives at all! ) Fingers crossed for you honey |

I'm Currently Feeling: | i know i definately have a short luteal phase, my last three months of charting have convinced me plus my cbfm, i ovulate on cd26 and AF arrives between cd31-34. I'm going back to Drs after this cycle with my "evidence" from charts and cbfm.
I started taking 50mg vitamin B6 last month just after i ovulated and im not sure it did anything, it may have done as my luteal phase went from 5 to 8 days but i don't know. This month after ovulation i upped my amount to 100mg, as it suggests on websites if your luteal phase is still not long enough. Most you should take is 200mg so my plan was to up it by 50mg each month by that point ill have been ttc 11months and the Dr can't fob me off about trying B6 at that point. The best thing i have found is charting which makes it totally clear and easy to read by a GP!!! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I've been having the same worries TrixiLox. I think I O'd on about CD16 and my irratic cycle seems to average out at 26 days so I'll have to wait and see. I've started on vitamin B6 but I don't think I looked into it enough - I've only been taking 12.5mg a day! I'm guessing from Loopylew's post that I need to up my intake quite a bit before it'll have an effect! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I agree with looplew - definitely take some B6 to see if that helps.
