Has anyone tried preseed?

Hi
Me and my hubby have been ttc #1 for 3 years now. We've had the usual tests etc and clomid (even though I ovulate on my own...) - diagnosis is unexplained fertility. I got pregnant after a laparascopy but miscarried at 5 weeks. We are now waiting to start IUI but in the meantime I have bought some preseed to see if that helps... I don't think I get a lot of mucus etc but we'll see. Any way just wondered if any one else had used preseed and whether it worked for them.

Jen x

I use it. We love it. Though it hasn't helped us conceive.. but we have male and female factor infertility.

Hi Julie

I think it's all of those... as far as i know preseed provides the optimal environment for sperm and helps them swim etc (useful if you don't produce much cm). It is sold as a sperm friendly vaginal lubricant - if you google it you can find out more info!) I'm just trying anything and everything... fingers crossed it has worked for me this month but... I'm not getting my hopes up. How long have u been trying?

JAR - I was TTC for 14months in total, I used pre-seed for a few cycles before I got pregnant...but I don't think I was gettin my ovulation date right most of the time! Once I'd pinpointed ov and used preseed I was pregnant in that cycle!!

Julie - It is for dryness, but it is helpful if people don't produce lots of EWCM. If you google it, there is a website with all the "sciencey stuff" on there

hiya.... not been tryin long...i had a mmc at 13 weeks last december and have been trying since...was using cheapo opk's and am pretty sure i got my surge but there qute hard to read ?!?! i seem to get plenty of cm but not ewcm and i read that you have to have ewcm to concieve as regular cm kills the sperm?!?!
not sure how much truth there is in that!
i have bought a cbfm and am looking forward to using that IF af gets me this month..im on 9-10 dpo (ish) according to the opks..
might give pre seed a blast...it cant do any harm after all!!

lots of luck and baby dust to all you ladies ttc

Sorry about the MMC, I am using clearblue monitor this cycle - hopefully you won't need to use it! I'm also using OPKs as the 1st cycle with clearblue is really a "get to know you" cycle. Along with Preseed I hope its a good combo! Its worth a try hun!
