Wink

Hi there,

I had a very similar experience today..went to the nurse at my local GP said I was 2 weeks late (we are not TTC but still 2 weeks is a lot, was never that late before) and she looked at me as if I shouldnt be there or thinking I could be pregnant and said, "well its very unlikely anyway"!! So I asked for a blood test and she said "blood test?where did you hear that?" :S and wanted me to give a urine sample to get the results mid next week like you said.

I am impatient though going to another walk in clinic today in central london to have a blood test. I don't see how I could be pregnant but need to get it out of my system (plus deep inside I wish I am so its making it harder!!)

Hope you get the result you want, and don't worry too much about the doctor, pretent it never happened, its not worth it

Hope you feel better soon!

I've said this before on here and I'll say it again - I am appalled at the way some drs treat us TTCers. What's the rush? Why doesn't he try getting thru a weekend not knowing whether he's pregnant or not, the stupid dufus!!!

Anyway hon, keep on testing, I hope you get your BFP! And when you do, don't go see that dr!!! x

I had the same experience this week too, there must be something in the air!! I am now 9 days late, the most I've ever been is 2 and that was yeeears ago. When I phoned up the Drs the nurse said "and, what do you want me to do"
Ummm how about make an appointment for me!!!
The Dr then told me I was physchogically blocking my period (see my post in problems ttc forum) and made me feel like a complete fruit loop.

what a crappy appointment. i'm sorry hun. i hope the home prego tests start working for you shortly. i think a looot of ladies go to the doctors while TTC, hoping for a blood test and the doctors are just tired of it :/ sounds awful but they were probably thinking "here's another one..."

i hope you get your bfp soon, love

Aww they can be so insensitive cant they! Hope you get your BFP soon hun its horrible being in Limbo isnt it!

Good news for me though Doctors have just rang me, well the guy on reception, he said he's had a note saying i asked for a blood test and they refused me. He said he cant believe they have done that and doesnt understand why they said no, there was no point sending off a urine sample as ive only just registered there so they havent even got my records. I can go in at 10:30am Monday morning for a blood test! He was soo nice, he said the doctors are so silly sometimes, its only an injection.. wont take up much of their time! hehe so yey im happy now

I might even hold off from testing over the weekend.. haha now that will take some willpower!!

xx

Well that must have made you feel a little better at least. I can't believe how rude some doctors are!

'you cant come on a friday afternoon and expect me to be able tell you if your prenant or not, what is the rush!' i was totally speechless, i told him i never expected him to tell if i was pregnant today i was going for some advice cuz im worried and wanted to see what the next step was now im late. He just kept saying whats the rush.. and why am i worried.

So anyway he ended up saying they wont give me a blood test, got to send a urine sample off and ill get the results middle of next week.

Wish i had never gone. I may aswel just wait for AF to arrive now

OMG, that is appalling. That doctor should be reported. When I found out I was pregnant, the first thing the doctor told me was 1 in ? (cant remember) women miscarry in early pregnancy - BITCH.

Definately go to another doctors. You dont need to put up with that.
