smiley face day

hi
i was just reading the instructions on the clearblue digital ovulation test and it says it shows yr 2 most fertile days. I was wondering though is one of the 2 days more fertile than the other ? My friend pointed out that you get the smiley face for 2 days then you ovulate so surely the 2nd smiley face day is closer to ovulation? Also does everyone get 2 smiley face days or do some people get just 1?
Im worried incase i dont get any smiley faces what if they dont work on me !!!!

when i have used these i have only ever got a smiley face on the 1 day....never seen a smiley face on 2nd day of testing....altho have heard of it happening to a few people on here. i think you should go by the 1st smiley face you see as the sperm needs to ready & waiting in the fallopian tubes & it can take some time for it to get up there i think. so remember u just get a smiley face then that day & the day after are ur most fertile days....

my friend used these for just 2 mths last year & fell preg the 2nd time!!! she used it again last mth & got preg 1st time using it so they do def work!! i have been using them on & off for 12 mths & altho i get my smiley face on the same day of my cycle every mth im still not conceiving

having a lap & dye this afternoon as we have been ttc number 2 since sept 08 & all other tests have come back fine

I used these this cycle and from what i can remember the instructons said to stop testing once you get your first smiley face cause there's no point after that. I was using cheapo ebay one step opks at the same time and i got a strong positive with my smiley face then the next day i didn't do a clear blue one but the cheapie opk gave me another positive. I think that happens is that you catch your surge on the way up one day and on the way back down the other day. Definitely BD every day for the next 3 or 4 days after the first smiley face, regardless. If you temp you will be able to see the rise and stop when it confirms you O'ed. You can see what i did on my chart. I keep a detailed one.

i once tried some cheap ones and they didnt seem to work but i think i started using them too late it suddenly occured to me if im going to ovulate around day 14 i need to start testing before that !!!

Think of it this way. It takes time for the LH hormone to work its way into your urine. SO, by the time you see your smiley face, the surge is already happening. On the other end, it takes time for the LH to work its way out of your system so you may see that smiley for more than one day until the LH dissipates from your system.

Bottom Line: The surge began before you saw the first smiley. So, the timing should be from that point. Not any of the consecutive days. I hope that helps. .. .

it does thanks it takes me a while to understand these things !!! Think will just start on the smiley day then !!! On the plus side ive just worked out my cycle was 28 days this month so that should help with the calculations too !!

I use these and get smileys 2 days in a row... But the second one is pointless really as it doesn't tell you anything you don't know, I'm just a poas addict!! I agree with the girls, go from the first smiley then BD for the next 3-4 days...
