Just a word of warning. I took agnus castus to shorten my cycles and it stopped me from ovulating at all. It also caused intermittent bleeding - bleeding for no reason at various points througout the cycle. It seriously set me back on my ttc journey. Been off the pill a year now and cycles are still long but are at least regular.

I always feel compelled to warn people as it was a scary experience for me, and too many people recommend it because they've 'heard' it's good rather than actually try it.

Good luck on your ttc journey - hope you get your bfp soon!

Do you think I could make it much worse? I've had one af since mmc in oct. Have pcos and high prolactin and doctors who are doing nothing to help. Feel like this is my only solution at the mo

Hi I am trying it but have no starting point as no periods due to Depo Provera, if your GP/doctor/OBgyn are availabe see ifthey can testyou or advise before using this as it has no real proof behind it except for PMS.
I have to wait atleast another month to see what my hormones are doing so would not recomend this if you have cycles.

Good luck

Hi, sorry to butt in. I went on it for a month after coming off pill, to reduce hideous PMS, which this 2nd cycle is much improved.
My friend was trying to conceive for 15 months, I think she went on agnus castus after a year, and then was shortly pregnant, may be coincidence I don't know.
I would also be very much more demanding at the docs or join a new one. GPs can be very frustrating as they often don't know alot about these things and try to fob you off. I go now and tell them to refer me if its something they cant help with!
Miss kat be careful to take now as you don't know if you are preg, I'd wait to day one of period. Sorry you had bad experience stargirl, sounds horrid! I am stopping it now as after coming off pill, feel more back to normal and lucky for me first cycle 28 days, just praying this month is same.

So if no one recommends ac, any suggestions on how to get af to start? Docs don't seem worried and want to do nothing but take blood from me

Give them your blood.
Having gone a year and half without somuch as a pad full don't leave it.
Go to the clinic at your local hospital if you hate needles you won't feel it.

Been to a specialist today, who I thought would help me sort the prolactin levels out. U went with two months of blood results and all he's done us take more blood.

So I'm no closer on this long path to a baby. I don't no what to do now, gp won't refer me to help with pcos until prolactine us sorted. But prolactin specialist doesn't seem to think there's a problem and seems willing to leave me to it and let my body do what it will do. Specialist was male - need I say any more lol
