Reflexology anyone?

Hiya, just wondered if any of you girls have tried, or know of anyone who has tried reflexology for helping with conceiving. My friend is a beauty therapist (but in Newcastle unfortunately) and she recommended I try a course of reflexology, apparantly it can help clear out the insides (!) among other things.

I went for a massage as part of hen do at the weekend and afterwards the masseusse said to me 'I know your on a hen do but please try not to drink too much alcohol!' I told her I was TTC so wouldn't be drinking too much anyway (gosh, how nice it was to say that to someone in real life!) and she too then recommended reflexology. So two people have independently suggested it to me - what do you girls think?

I have heard great things about how it does help in ttc.

My sister trained in reflexology and it gives you a wonderful sleep afterwards.

I dont think you should have it done when you are due on or when you are on as I think it can be very painful (not sure how correct this is).

xx

Definately. Anything that helps I say!
I've got an appointment for Dr & Herbs next Wed which is an Chinese therapy chain, I'm not sure if accupuncture or herbs or combinations! But I was wondering if I shouldn't try reflexology instead...?

I bet those herbs cost a fortune Nic? My OH went to one of those chains for a consultation. Boy, the price of some of those herbs - phew! Up to you though. I would go for reflexology personally xx

i think it's the same really ...it's kind off a step we take to try to control our stress level and that make us feel good about doing something beside the BD session like we know we are trying to control our emotion (like we get upset because of BFN , or super emotive because of AF ...) so having any kind of natural medical partnair to be available to talk to it's de-stressing no? like someone else is caring with us the burden that it takes a long time to ttc...
hope i make sens?

I've heard great things about reflexology. My cousin is a beauty therapist and years ago when she was practising her reflexology on us, she always said to be very careful about contraception for the next few days because it tended to make things happen!

Also, a friend of mine decided to start TTC a few years ago and had hoped it would take her a while (she wasn't quite ready yet but DH was). She did reflexology totally independent from TTC but within a month of coming off BCP and got her BFP on her first cycle! It would be a joy for most of us, she just panicked!

Reflexology is definitely something I'd consider doing.
