Gyn Visit Question

I'm thinking of having a disclaimer in my signature along the lines of "I'm sorry, this new thread I started and this new question I have I KNOW are enormously idiotic but I need advice"

So.... today's is.... if I Oed yesterday or even today and we've been rabbiting like crazy in the past two weeks, is there cause to worry for tomorrow's gyn appointment? (First in 3 years or more, just trying to get her to tell me all is normal)

Essentially should I tell her to hold with the manual examination so that she doesn't well.... disturb things?

I mean it's not like she'll insert both arms and rattle my plumbing a couple of times but still, what if something she does destroys my hard work?

chick i had been thinking exactly the same thing. I am due to o any day now and have my gyn appointment at hospital on tuesday. I was really worried that she would be poking about and stuff wouldn't happen as a result - are we going mad do you think>
I am thinking that it is highly unlikely - i guess people still bd etc when they are pregnant?????

I don't know about BDing when they are pregnant -which I hope they do for their sanity- but I still can totally see how the crazy metals they use could mess with my work. Sound crazy but I'm too sore and too tired this month to take any chances!

I'll tell her "Dude, look, let's just talk okay? You can even look. Use your eyes. No touching allowed!" If it were a guy gyn that would be such a walk down memory lane

I have this same question too!!! The logical part of me says, "Duh, taking a swab of my cervix isn't going to cause any harm!" but the wierdo TTC part of me says, "Don't let anything touch it or disturb things!" I'm with ya and it's not an idiotic question. I think it's just a normal, however, irrational fear. Either that or we're all cracked. I set mine up for the 21st of April. Got into a argument with the registration nurse, because she wanted me to come in right on O day (28th). I was like, no not gonna happen!!! I won, so I'm in a week before O. Yay for me!
Any way, you could just vocalize this fear to your OB. If he/she laughs at you, then you know you've got nothing to fear. LOL
Good luck sweaty, I'm sure it'll be fine.

Thank you! I'll make sure to pack a pole tomorrow just in case!

"Look lady, I know I hounded your nurse for this appointment and I'm sure you're nice and all but I've worked my huge butt off to get a very tiny cell to meet another person's very tiny cell in just the right amount of temperature, fluid and Barry White. Mess with that particular, microscopic placement and you are A DEAD!"
