Query for the doc?

Hi girls, just hope you can help in case anyones had anything similar. Sometimes get ike an uncomfortable feeling right down low on my left hand side (where id say ovaries are ish) and sometimes the same feeling after sex, but only in certain positions like if im on top in a certain position but not all the time, and then once ive had the feeling , ill feel it for a while aftrerwards, really wierd, not pain, just uncomfortable and completely sporadic. Dont think its ov pains as have had them too in the past and think this is different. Just a bit nervous as my friend in work said (when i described it to her) thats how she used to feel before when she had an ovarian cyst and hers was huge and she had to hav op to get it removed. Hope its nothing like that!!!!I was going to mention it to the doc when I go and have chat about ttc if I dont get first. Think thats why ive been hoping id just get a and it'd save me the trouble of going to docs and having to have the ttc talk.

Hate going to docs as dont want to have any internal examinations, im really funny like that, get really tense and tighten up.Used to hate having smears done as the nurse used to always have troubel doing them as sorry tmi im soo tight she used to say Ive only had sex with my hubby so maybe thats why but it makes me dread any examination and is that what they will want to do if i go to docs??

Was just asking some of the other girls is 10 cycles of ttc long enough to go ask doc for tests/ investigations if ive not had bfp yet?? I know some of my friends were told they had to wait a year, what you guys think? x

I don't think it will hurt to ask the doctor, never experienced anything like that myself. Unsure though if they will do anything since it hasn't been a year. Good luck

Hi Fran, Sorry you're having problems!
It doesn't hurt to ask the doc does it. I've been about abdo pain recently and he only prodded tummy (although pain was lower!!!) and took bloods, so i don't think they would do an internal for that. I don't think an internal would reach where you're talking about.
Lots of factors have to be taken into consideration and at least it will be on your record if you have to go back in the future (hopefully not though!!!).

I'd go have a chat with your doc, and just say you've been trying a little longer than you have. I'm the same when it comes to internals. I hate them! However, when I decided that enough was enough, and ttc wasn't happening naturally for us, I had to overcome my fears. I've had 4 internals/smears/etc done in the last 6 months, so I've kind of got used to it. Apparently I have a 'tilt' to my cervix which makes it more difficult to find, and hence more painful.

Good luck with ttc and whatever you decide to do.
