HELP! Missed Period - Can I still ovulate?

I am a week late for my period this month (due between Jan 20 and 23), had three

Is it possible to still ovulate this month so my husband and I can try to conceive? If so, how should I calculate ovulation? When should I start charting/ovulation tests?

I don't want to waste an opportunity to get pregnant.

You may have ovulated late, which is making your period late. If you want to start charting and use ff, it's best to start on the day of your period.

Have you just come off birth control like an injection, pill or implant? Your cycles can take a while to re-adjust.

Did you use opks or note any changes in cervix/cervial mucus??

Hi Mightyspu.

I came off the pill (Marvelon) in June 09 - cycles have been 60 days, 14, 27, 28, 29, and this month I'm CD35.
I was on holiday for most of last month so didn't use opks. I have used them on previous cycles though. We just tried around the time of the previous month's ovulation.
It's frustrating because I was all ready to start charting last week. I hate all the delays!

the waiting is the worst isn't it?? And a week can seem like such a long time! It is possible that your body tried to release an egg and didn't quite make it, then released one again later in the cycle, but it's hard to tell. I hope the hag arrives soon, or better yet a bfp!

This is so random MightySpu - just noticed you live in Newbury - I used to live there! Went to school there for many years. It's a small world!

Wow! I moved there just over 2 years ago, but have been a Berkshire lass all my life! Small world indeed!
