Hormone tablets to bring on period

Hi all,

I was wondering if anyone has been given a hormone tablet (of sorts!) that has brought on a period?

My wife and I have been ttc.. however it is only every few months that she ovulates... her cycles are usually 40 days and we are on day 46 now with no period. Our dr. has advised us if nothing by Monday then he will give her a tablet that will change her hormone levels and induce her period...

We are going to try clomid next month to ensure ovulation... Here's hoping!!!

Hi! Didnt want to read and run, especially has you havent got a reply yet...
If your wife is going on clomid, then i believe that is the best form of medication to induce her periods.
I dont have periods as ive just come off the Depo so ive been using Agnus Castus x4 daily as it 'balances hormones', but no such luck yet (although it does take 3 months to start working!). However it is not advised to take these tablets if the women is already on clomid.

i know of several laies who have had the tablet to brifresng on the period - to start a fresh month so to speak and then clomid for ovulation !! Alth do be aware that the clomid can have side effects (moods etc so flowers and chocolate may be in order !! )
