39 day cycle

Not normal, really, is it?

What do you think I should do? My cycles now range from roughly 25 - 39 days. Is there ANYTHING my GP could do? Or WOULD do?

Laura you already know what i think you should do! Go see your gp hun.
I don't think it's normal as it's not a regular cycle.
I would think that they should do something, maybe other's have been through the same and will give you better advice.

There are a few others on here with long or irregular cycles. I'd just got to the Dr's if you feel like you're getting no where coz of them. I cant remember how long you've been TTC but if its less than a year even with irregular cycles I dont think that its outrageous to ask them for help.

Have you recently come off BCP? I read somewhere that it can take 1 month for every year you have been on the pill, for your cycles to get back to normal.

I have not taken the pill properly in a long, long time and I was only really on it for about 18 months anyway. I used to go three months without a period, at times, before I went on the pill. Was never really taking that much notice to cycle length but I was at the doctors loads because I just kept on missing periods. All they would say was “Come back in a couple of weeks if you still have not come on,” ie were no help at all. Now that I am TTC its just mind shattering, because if I were to go three months without a period, now, with no BFP it would just crack me up. At least I was not trying for a baby back then. Am at work, now, 14dpo, BFN and I am about to burst into tears, I think, because of this. 39 fecking days. I just don’t know what to do!

Awww, don't cry

I guess all you can do is book an appointment with your GP. As Merv's Mum has said, you should be able to ask for help. It might be something silly or small that they can sort out easily and will put your mind at rest.
Don't get too down about the BFN too - i am sure you know this - it aint over until the fat shows!

Well if it makes you feel beter im on CD63 today and only expecting the around CD77 hopingly, i started postoval almost 2weeks ago, it's a progestin and estroegen tab "soz for spelling" also 28tabs to boost my progesterone and the correct eastrogens which is needed for normal 28day cycles. Alot of women in SA drink postoval to help them get a quick BFP, as your cycle is always 28days, and other ladies continue drinking postoval up to 3months pregnant cause it helps prevent m/c.
And now am drinking the postoval with metformin.. so hoping to get my Cycle sorted.

Thinking of you and talk to your doc
