Hi, i'm new to these boards, but just wanted a little advice from you ladies...I'm 4 days late on my period, yesterday i decided to test which came back positive (Asda's own brand)...This morning we were just passing the pound shop so i decided to try their twin pack tests to see what the result would be. They turned out to be negative. I went back into town and bought two clear blue tests and took them both. I had already had done my FMU in a container and used that with the first clearblue...It came back negative. Later on, i couldn't wait any longer so decided to take the other test which was faint but a positive. I'm so confused right now, i'm not sure what to think!!!

im the same i have done 4 tests in the last two weeks the first one was a very faint positive (i used boots own brand) all the others were neg. the only advice i can give is see your doc thats what im doing.

You can get false negatives and still be pregnant.

Try testing again in a few days, if not take a visit to your doctor.

havent been to the docs yet (havent even made an appointment) im just really confused, my period i late an i have other symptoms like nausea -this only seems to be at night, and sore breasts needing the toilet a lot. im so bloated at the moment thaty friend at uni today actually commented i looked pregnant. i think i am going to test at the end of the week and see a doc to matter what the result

A week late today, still no period....so unlike me. Still vomiting, took two tests yesterday and negative. I've had two positives, and about 7-8 negatives. *Sigh* i'm in with my doctor on thursday morning!

did you get your positives on the same kind of test, its just i have used a few differerent tests my positive was on the clear blue and negs on boots own i am wondering if these cheaper versions are as effective as they say they are i saw on another thread someone posted to avoid the cheap ones

with my last pregnancy i didn't get a positive til I was 6/7 weeks pg so keep faith and keep testing!

The positive i got was on clearblue and asda's own brand. Been to the doctors this morning and she has said that she definatley thinks i'm pregnant otherwise the tests wouldn't have picked up a positive. She said it could be that i am producing low HCG hormones which isn't strong enough to pick up a positive result yet. She told me she definatley thinks i am and even said congratulations. She told me to take in another urine sample in a weeks time, and to book an appointment with midwife but not sure whether or not to do that just yet!
