That. Or friends offering ideas on how long it's "supposed to take". Did you notice they ask you how long you've been TTC first? Under a year? "Ahhhh no wonder dear, it's SUPPOSED to take a year". Over a year? "Just last week I read this new research that a vast majority of women don't fall pregnant before three years in fact!" And on and on and on.....
On a serious less rant-like note, I don't think we're trying too hard. I don't believe in that. There's very little proven connection between levels of stress and ability to procreate. Our bodies are either fertile or not -with the appropriate shades of grey- and the merger either happens or not so us trying anything available to become more healthy and fertile as well as trying our best to plan and time that merger can't hurt at all.
I never understood those couples who casually say "Yeah we've always dearly wanted children, we never used contraception so if it hasn't happened it means it just wasn't meant to be!" I'm much rather of the stress-my-behind school of thought.
