what the heck??? Please help!

This is mine and DH first month ttc. We BD on the days i thought would be my fertile days. Then I unfortunately ovulated late in my cycle. It was 3 days after BD. I really thought this cycle was a bust.

Then yesterday I had a few dizzy spells but didnt think much about it. And this evening at the store I was in line and all of a sudden broke out into a sweat and felt like someone turned the heat up to about 200 degrees. i was just praying that I would not pass out in front of people. I felt like the room was spinning.

So I finally get myself together and make it home and as soon as I walked into the kitchen I smelled something so strong and overwhelming. Like a dead animal. My DH kept insisting there was no smell and looking at me as if I was crazy. I finally opened the fridge to see if thats where it was coming from and found a little baggy in the back with 2 old chicken tenders in it that turned out to be the source of the smell.

DH still couldnt smell it even with the fridge open. It was so strong I dont know how he could miss it. I smelt it with the fridge door closed!

After I got home I had a terrible hot flash like my face was burning and my head is pounding.

Could I have conceived this cycle? Is it common to get pregnant after one month of trying? I was expecting it to take 6 months or more.

Would i be able to feel pregnancy symptoms as early as 7 DPO?

Please let me know if anyone has had similar symptoms and turned out pregnant. I am going crazy wondering!

Thanks :0)

You can definitely get pregnant on your first cycle of trying, even if you BD three days before ovulation!

I didn't have the same symptoms you did, but I had symptoms at 7 DPO or so. My boobs hurt to touch, and I was tired all the time, and I would alternate between feeling cold and hot.

Good luck, and keep us posted!

Thank you for responding :0)

This is my first time ever trying and I have never been pregnant before. Just not sure what to expect. I also have been having some cramping in the left side of my abdomen for a couple of days.

I also know these symptoms may not be pregnancy related and I'm trying not to get my hopes up. But I haven't felt any of these symptoms along with my normal pms symptoms before.

Also I normally crave sugar like crazy when I pms. And sugar just does not sound good to me right now which is strange since i have a slight sugar addiction which completely gets out of control during PMS. lol.

breast are tender.... but this is normal.

This is one thing I do remember about being pregnant: I craved healthy foods- fruit and veggies, mainly. And water, tons of water. Which is odd, because I'm not a big water-drinker, I like soda and tea.
But I can't remember if these healthy cravings starter early on, or later.

I do recall that by the end of my first pregnancy I was sneaking out in the yard to eat dirt, but that's a whole other story. I developed a condition called Pica, which is caused by nutrient deficiency and causes pregnant women to have uncontrollable urges to eat, ermm... non-food items.
I also ate chalk. Lol.

So, anyway... maybe you are. Good luck!

You can get pregnant having sex 3 days before ovulation. I didn't have symptoms until I was 6+ weeks pregnant but I'm sure there are people who get them a little earlier. This could be your month, good luck!

Sounds like you could be... I was super dizzy with my first baby but not so much with the second. And I also had super senses with both of my kids. I could smell the weirdest things the second we opened our front door.

Sounds promising hun! YOu can definately concieve on your first try (and bloody well done if you have!!! I'm on my 7th month ttc now ) and yeah, some women get cravings really early on. My friends craved coal from the moment she conceived... which sounds crazy but she just ate for a passtime lol... sounds horrid to me, but I suppose you can't control it!

Good luck!!

Just be careful you don't get your hopes too high... Last cycle was my first month of TTC and I had every symptom under the sun including increased sense of smell, leaky achy boobs, morning sickness etc and it all turned out to be pill withdrawal symptoms!

To give you an indication of my sense of smell, I asked around the office if they could smell burning as I could really smell a strong smell of burning, but no-one else could smell it... When I got home I found out there had been a huge fire on the other side of town!

I really hope that this is your month but don't get too excited just yet as it can be quite disappointing xx
