Hi,

I know - I only lasted a couple of days on the low-GI thing!! But no crisps or potatoes for 2 weeks - that's pretty good going!!

I had a bit of a crap day today - I finished the tablets I was given and AF came along as planned. I called the hospital to make the appointment for the HSG (you have to call on the first day so they can make the appointment for between day 4 and 10 of your cycle) only to be told that they didn't have any female doctor in for the next two weeks. I have to wait for another period until I can have it done (assuming there is anyone there at that time to do it) - it could be another three months! I had built myself up so much to having it done next week that I ended up in floods of tears. Not great - it was lunchtime and I was sitting in my car in my work carpark - had to go back in looking like crap.

Oh well - just got to hope next AF turns up in good time... either that or get straight back to the doc to get another set of pills and take them after 28 days!

Still no news from Laura - hope she's ok xxx

Vee that's rubbish, how can they be so crap?! Can't they send you somewhere else? Doctors don't really care about ttc it seems, they have no idea how much it affects people when they have to wait so long....

I hope it all happens quickly and you get it sorted... Hope you feel better x x x

Hi,

Well I don't know what has happened to my appetite since they gave me those pills but I can't stop eating! I wake up starving and no matter how much I eat during the day, I'm still hungry. Turning into a right piglet.

I suppose its good in a way as I need to put on a few pounds but I'm eating crap a lot of the time as its the only stuff immediately available!

How's things with you? Still no word from Laura - I might try and PM her.

xx

Lol at least you're not trying to lose weight and can't stop eating!! You'll have to start taking healthy snacks out with you if you don't want to be eating rubbish all the time - it's just never as easy though is it?!

Yeh pop Laura a PM and see how she's doing...

I'm doing ok, AF due in a couple of days, then I'm off to the docs CD1 to get bloods done, then may be getting clomid prescribed so I can Ov a bit earlier...

x x

Well I managed to last about 2 or 3 weeks on the GI diet, it must have done something for me AF arrived after 5 weeks, which is an improvement on my last cycle of 7 weeks without the normal PMS that I normally have.

So trying it again and hopefully will stick to it this time.

Hey girls, I'm only relatively new on here but have posted that I am a strong advocate of the low-GI diet and cutting out dairy products. I conceived within 2 months the last time (MC at 10 weeks). This was after 7 years of no success including 6 cycles of Clomid.

I'm now 42 DPO, I did a second test 20DPO which was negative but it has been niggling at me because I have only had spotting and no sign of a proper AF. I was actually very down as I thought it was my PCOS really flaring up again and I hadnt even ovulated but curiosity killed the cat - I've just done another test this morning and have got a

Still in shock, havent told DH yet, the anxiety is already starting (I was away on holidays last week and was drinking and diet went to pot so I'm worried altered sugars will affect things). Dont know how to settle but really I just want to say DON'T GIVE UP, do what you can do diet ways and try to relax. It can be a pain in the neck getting used to restricting some foods, eating new foods etc and none of us are saints. I think the diet is only one element in the process, a big element for me yes but everybody is different so try not to be too hard on yourself if you slip up.

Praying for a sticky bean... Will keep you posted.

Baby dust to all xoxo

Angel - CONGRATULATIONS! I'm so so pleased for you! You have to tell your DH, you need to go through this together, no matter what happens! I'm sure this one will stick though

I've been majorly increasing my fruit & veg intake and taking my vits, so hopefully this will make a difference. Scared of having an HSG test so trying desparately to get preg this month so I don't have to have it!

xxx
