Hi everyone,

this is probably the sillyest question of all however I need to put my mind at rest!!

I have just returned from my honeymoon a week ago and I am a week late, however I am getting some period pains, not as bad as usual though. Everyday I wake up and think that I'll get it and nothing. We always use condoms, and nothing broke from what we are aware of, is there any chance I am pregnant? Should I check it out or is it impossible?

Nothing is impossible. Get a HPT (Home Pregnancy Test) and put your mind at rest.

there is always a chance, love. like the other ladies said, take a quick test and put your mind at rest. good luck, hope you get the answer you're looking for.

Thank you everyone on your replies. I got a pregnancy test yesterday and it came negative. . . Although this is what I was looking for as it wouldn't have been right timing I was a bit dissapointed:S

Oh well!I think I am just stressed as I just started a new job and that causing the delay!

Try testing in a few days if AF does not show.

I will test in a couple of days again. Now I don't even have the period pain, now its like nothing is going on. Well I have period pain but a very mild one, not as usual..Also during the week the day I was feeling I would get my period I had some brown discharge, which I always get a little bit before my period. its really strange. . .

I guess I'll have to wait and see. If I keep getting negative tests and no period should I go to my GP or just wait for next month?

Go to your GP now and they should send off some bloods

Period pains can be syptomatic of pregnancy.

If you aren't pregnant your period might be late due to stress as you sugested. Or possibly you are pregnant but not producing enough HCG to trigger a positive result.

If your AF continues not to show, it might be worth a trip to the Doctor, they might be able to do a more sensitive test or suggest other possible reasons for your late AF.

I did another pregnancy test yesterday and still negative. However I have already booked an appointment with the nurse at my GP practise this coming friday -it will be more than 2 weeks late by then- to maybe have a blood test or anything else she suggests.
