Hmm hun, to be honest I'm not sure. Are you worried about m/c?
Because if so I think the only thing that will put your mind at ease is to see a GP.

Good luck

I am going on Tuesday so I am def going to ask about it. I don't get clots every AF but it happens like every 2-3 cycles I think. Perhaps it could be why I have not gotten preg???

I also sometimes pass small clots when I have AF.

They can be absolutely normal as you're shedding the lining of your womb and lots of women get them. They can be caused when the blood accumulates faster than your body can remove it from the uterus so small clots can form as a result as the blood is pooled while it waits to come out.

Also, generally, the blacker your blood is, the longer it has taken to come out of your body. The redder it is, the quicker it has come out. Thats why the blood tends to be darker when it clots.

But if you're worried, or if you feel your cycle is changing or anything, or if the clots are larger or there are more than a few, definitely mention it to your GP. Even if it turns out to be totally irelevant, it's worth mentioning, if only to put your mind at rest.

xx

thank you Like I have mentioned I used to get clots all the time when I was on bcp but since I am not, I think that it is a little unusual since I don't get them all the time. This time, they were larger then I have had in a long time. I still think that my body is trying to regulate itself so it all could just be a natural occurrence and could be irrelevant like you said

I pass clots every AF, they are big, thick and heavy. I get awful pain when my womb is trying to push them out. Sometimes they can be a good 5cm long.

Yeah I have been to the doctor countless times about my periods, because I find them soo awful.

I started them when I was at primary school and only 10 years of age.

To be honest the doctors have been pretty crap and haven't really wanted to know. The only bit of advice they gave was "go on the pill" which I really didn't want to do.

I have had an internal done and she said there are no signs of fibroids. I have always wondered about endometriosis and PCOS, but quote unquote my doctor said "you don't have PCOS because you are not overweight and you have regular periods" I thought this was a bit of a generalisation at the time!

I think if we don't conceive after about 7-8 months I will prob go back to docs and hope they do some more investigating.

That would be great hun. My mother suffered like I do, but she was different in that her periods were very irregular. It took her nearly 3 years to conceive me (her first) so I am expecting the same really.

same with my mom, took her a long time to get preg with my sister [age 24] and then the same even with me [age 38]. I hope that your gyn can give you some good news Miel (like the pic by the way! Hot babe!).

Michy, I would DEF go and I would feel exactly the same way!!! Passing clots like that and being in such pain is not natural! for you both
