why exactly does he want to come here?? im guessing hes commo or MI ? we only chose here because it was the lesser of the evils we were offered.... they offered us germany as an option but we weren't prepared for an overseas move at the time....... forewarn him if he does get to come here and is put with 86th, they will be deployed when you guys get here

Hey Ladies

Im married to a Royal Marine...he is due to go abroad for 2 months on Sunday...so thats me well and truly OUT for a while! I have to say i never really minded the time apart before, but now TTC its a nightmare...makes the journey even harder

Not sure when or if ever it will happen for us im all out of hope at the moment! Sorry to be negative, only just found out that he is going away.

We didnt pick Alaska in the first place
oh, and our first set of orders was Fort Drum, so it can be worse than Alaska LOL actually other then their frequent deployment schedule, I loved Drum... would go back in a heartbeat!

Ya'll can take our place here at Fort Bragg, NC!! We are shipping out to Germany on June 1......yeeeeee haw!!! So hopefully no deployments for a few years!!

that would all depend on the units deployment schedule... majority of this post is non-deployable because its tradoc.... only 86th battalion deploys.... all the other units are non-deployable so you may luck out and have your hubby home for 2 more years!

hun, its awefull that he has to be away but if it were me i would see this as a break - and that he is going to do you proud - helping those poor people !

British Army wife here....

Yes, very hard trying to conceive, hoping to give it a good shot this year as he's home for a while.
Our tours are 6 months, is it right that the US boys go on tour for 18 months at a time?
