Ah Trixie, little pixie, I want to give you a hug now too as I can just imagine your little face looking at yourself in the mirror. Marlow Bottom is the place to go for the water as there are 3 sister's pregnant down there right now. If it works you can bottle and sell it.

Miel: You say lovely things you know and just at the right times. You're going to be a wonderful Moderator.

I guess we are all human as you say girls, but the range of emotions is overwhelming (bit too strong a word really) at times. I'm just feeling the pressure as I am approaching that crucial BD'g time again and worried about getting it right. I have to admit I envy those who can plan their BD'g and it just happens as they plan it. It's not really that way at all for me, I have the additional worry of whether it's going to happen when I need it to. God I'm negative tonight ... sorry.

(I should add that my husband and I work different shifts which spoils a lot of our plans and timing).

I know how you feel.

DH told me, the other day, that our friend Ian's girlfriend is pregnant. She does not even have the benefit of being a nice person.

My first thought was, "Why her and not me?"

Was not even trying for a baby. She was on antibiotics and the pill did not work.

Its def hard. My other half works nights and from Monday to Friday i don't really see him. I am so worried that i will ov right in the middle and i will miss my chance all together. One of my mates said just give him a pot and ask him to fill it before he leaves but where's the fun in that.

W/A: Night shifts are just the worst element of my ttc journey. I do full nights on a 5 week rolling shift pattern and my husband does similar but his late shifts end at 3am. It's awful.

For the last 4 nights I've been working 9pm-7am and my husband and I have passed each other by on the road driving. We wave at each other and that's it. He has been working from 8am - 6pm and we've seen each other for an hour in the evening before I have had to go to work. Now how is that going to help us make a baby? It's no wonder I'm stressed. Still, hopefully we will have some time over the next few days to make up for it.

If it's any consolation we just came back from getting my mother a plasma TV and the cashier looked roundish.

*Nudged my sister-in-law* "Is she preggers or is she just Swedish?"
"This one's pregnant"
"DAMN!"

Minutes later as we're walking out I catch OH
"Did you see?!?! She was pregnant!"
"Who?"
"The cashier! WHY?!?"
"Awww"
"AND SHE WAS UGLY"
*Gentle laugh Bless his soul* "Yeah that's the quarter to three in the morning rules of attraction"

Kypris:

I'll tell you a funny one. I used to be cabin crew and loved everything about the job except the passengers. Not really One flight this man asked me if his wife could have a second meal as she was still hungry. Why she couldn't ask me herself I don't know but I think it was a cultural thing. So off I went and got her a second meal and when I brought it back I said cheerfully "we have to make sure baby gets fed too" as I looked as her bump. Her husband then turned to me and said gruffly "she's not pregnant, she's fat". Well, I just laughed out loud and ran to the back galley at a gallop to tell all the others. Hee hee!

A girl at work asked me if I was pregnant the other day too, apparently because I was standing with my belly sticking out even though I'm pretty slim! So then I was worrying about not being pregnant and also if I'd been putting on weight!

As for shift working, I hear ya on that one. My OH works shifts and quite often we don't see each other from one end of the week to the next - our luck seems to be that I O right in the middle of his evening shifts. Ah well, we're both changing jobs next month so hopefully things will improve!
