How many positive OPK's do you get?

I know I know...you're supppose to stop taking OPK's once you get a positive.

But as we all know, what we're suppose to do and what we do can be two different things.

Here's the thing, I got a positive OPK two days ago, as you probably read. YAY right? of course, then the next day (yesterday) I got another positive in the am, but I took an ebay cheapie around 1700 and got a negative. Soooo, that means I've stopped ovulating right?

Well, I did another good brand OPK this morning (around 1130am) just to be sure that the surge has stopped, and low and behold ANOTHER positive...
FFS! What is going on? Don't get me wrong, I'm loving these OPKs, but there has to be a limit! haha, does this mean I've yet to ovulate? or could this be the end of my ovulation surge?

Sorry girls, it's just doing my head in a little...

Yesterdays Negative.

And todays positive again!

lol I can't!! I start work at 4pm and DH is at work now, he finishes work at 4pm!!! So we're screwed, unless he wants to sit up until midnight for me to get off work...lol I doubt that.

I used to get a lot of positive readings with using opks, but I was taking them at the wrong times during the days... They always can sense the LH in your urine especially when it is really concentrated (like fmu)...maybe you are in fact Oing more than once since you are on meds...I would be suspicious if you keep getting positive readings.

I was bad and bought some cheapie opks...just to play around with this new cycle. Don't tell my DH

Hope you can grab DH tomorrow

I was like you and kept checking even though... I got three. I tested morning and then in the evening. BD when I got the positives, and then one day after. I'd BD anyway if it were me.
Too bad he'll be sleeping. Rats! I'd say wake him up or hit him up in the morning.

Agreed. That's sage advice. Just get one more in. Wake him FFS. If you can muster it something flimsy to wear and even p*rn would make for him not protesting. If you don't you'll wonder all through the TTW.

This with strange OPKs, not the same hour, not the same make, etc is why we're doing the two weeks (or more, may even extend it to be sure) BDathlon. It may make it impossible to function as a human being, it may make me stand up in all meetings and well yeah, it may make us hate each other's guts by the time we're done but by Jov we'll catch it!

Hey Ney Ney,

Good advice from the other girls.

Also, your positive on your OPK shows that ovulation is about to happen (in around 12 - 36 hours - depending on you and when you first test). There has been some evidence done that the best time to BD in order to concieve is about two days to a day before ovulation - so that the sperm have enought time to swim up and meet the egg as it is released. So, you have probably BDed at the right time.

Best of luck getting your BFP!

hey Neyney, I usually get 2/3 positives on opk's, maybe the negative was something to do with your pee being too diluted you never know.
The same happened to me this month I got a pos on sun, neg on mon and a pos on tuesday then negatives since.
hope it helps you hun, good luck xxxxxxxx

Thanks everyone.

well I got yet another + OPK today, I actually forgot to test on the CBFM because I worked until 1am the night before and had to be back at work at 8am and forgot to set the alarm...so needless to say it was a panic rush. I barely remembered to temp before I flew out of bed and made a mad dash.

But thing is, my CP and CM are showing signs of finishing O, the CP is lowering and becoming firmer, and my CM is becoming creamy...Yet I still get a + OPK?

Lord have mercy!
