I'm Currently Feeling: | CM and OPK Sorry if this is all TMI but was wondering if anyone has had the situation where the OPK is negative but still have egg white consistency CM? I've been using internet cheapie OPKs which have all been negative but even so CM seems like I should be ovulating. I'm confused! | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | oo...so it's difficult to know exactly then from your cycle lengh...if you cm is clear and strechy then "O" but it's hard to tell but what you should do a try not use a cheapie opk but more like a clear blue or first response one ...be more accurate for you for sure. i am in usa and i buy first response for 6 sticks for $20 about ...until you get that i will be BD every other days with that CM you got ...but you should try better opk for sure i think.
good luck! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Sounds like good advice, I won't let the OH out of my sight for the next few days so! Seems odd when the physical signs say yes and the tests are negative but there you are | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I would go with the advice above, as well, personally.
However, to answer your question directly; it is possible to have ewcm and not ov as its produced due to higher levels of estrogen, the ovary/egg however, produce progesterone when getting about to be released, and thats what the opk's read. Thus, its very possible to get ewcm and not actually release an egg , i.e. ovulate in any current cycle.
I would get at it though, anyway
Good luck!! |

have you had a look at poas.com?
cause it is very possible to miss the ov window w/opk's apparently. As it depends when you test and when you ov. The stick cant look into the future (if only , lol) and can only read the level of hormone at any given time, so if you're testing right before you get a surge and test later , that is after you can miss it... They can be tricky little b******s at the best of time. thats why i use the cbfm..takes the work out of things for me..
just thought id give you a pep talk so you dont think its all doom and gloom, cause, baby, it never is- trust me !! |

I'm Currently Feeling: | I actually just received my cbfm in the post today for ebay, waiting for the sticks to arrive and I can start playing with it at the start of my next cycle. Who knew it was so complicated - after years of trying so hard not to be pg!! | | | | Status: Offline
