Question

What are these pains girls

Hey all,
I've been getting some really bad pains today. First got them this morning but they only lasted for about 10 mins but just got them again lasting about 15 mins!!! The pain is REALLY low down like around the pubic area( just a bit higher) and to the left. I have just had to take some pain killers which is not like me at all. They seem to have passed now but wondering why I'm getting them now????
Any ideas ladies xxxxx

Depends on where you are in cycle. Sounds a lot like OV pains.

It can't be her appendix if it's on the left, can it?

I know what you're thinking...implantation pain but to me that sounds a bit too early? Isn't the crazed new cell supposed to float about for a week or so before it attaches?

Hey lovely. I had exactly that yesterday. It started at night and had it on and off all day.

I am hoping it was not O as I have not had very much CM and had tonnes of CM earlier in the week.

I know it isn't left side but the pain can start on the left and transfer to the right. Is better to be safe x Hubby had his appendix out and it started like that

Yep. You are right about the appendix pain starting on the left and moving to the right ... that can happen.

A test for appendicitis is to press gently down on your body where you feel the pain and slowly release your fingers. It it hurts when you press down then it could be all sorts and if it doesn't hurt when you press down, but hurts whilst you are releasing your fingers, then it could well be related to the appendix. This does not diagnose it, but helps confirm that it could POSSIBLY be it.

It could also be wind ... yes that's what I said. Wind can cause unbelievable pain if it's trapped.

It could also be a little polyp on the ovary which can go away itself or grow a little and may need medical treatment.

I get a sensation in my right side like this every so often and my doctor suggested it COULD be a little polyp or something. She said to just leave it and see if the pain gets worse in the future. She was not unduly concerned and said lots of women have them and never know and others have them dissolved or in the worst case scenario removed.

Truthfully, your pain could be anything and it it's bad enough to take a pain killer, then I would ask your doctor and put your mind at ease.

In any case, I hope you are OK and that it goes away ... preferably with a great big BOTTOM BURP!
