I think its great to talk about this but we should all be positive!!!! i have for many years been so negative because it seemed better than being let down but i now believe you get what you send out to the universe. so by all means make contingency plans but whatever you do feel positive with the deicsion and results......your life will be happier.

(ok, very tired and probably being irritatingly philosophical - maybe its my medication ha ha)

I haven't really thought about it. I already have 2 children so if it doesn't happen then i will be happy with what i have got. I would still see the doc after 12 months to seeif he can help but i wouldn't do ivf.
I feel pregnant on the 3rd cycle with both so fingers crossed it will happen this time as well

Aww this thread brought tear's to my eye's and i don't do crying!!!
I hope sooooo sooo much you all get your bfp's soon. You are all very deserving ladies and will make excellent mummies xxx

As most of you know i already have children but my OH doesn't. This will be our 1st together as a couple.
We have been trying for almost a year now and as far as my OH is concerned he would really love us to have a baby of our own and will do what it take's to make that happen..failing that... i get a consolation prize of a puppy
It's not quite the same is it?

I have threatened him that if it doesn't happen soon, i will buy a cat pram and take the moggy's out for walk's!!
I have also threatened that i would buy one of these reborn (dolls) from ebay..he's terrified of them

Umm i'm scaring myself now lol

O, now this is an interesting topic.

Well, back in early 2006 when we'd been trying for around 6 months we discussed adoption. DH is a bit iffy, well he was back then. But at the end of 2006 when a year had passed he was starting to weaken on the idea.

But, if we don't get a BFP before Sept this year (that will make it 3 years total TTC) we plan on going into IVF, our specialist has already discussed that with us. I have private health cover thank god that covers us 100%.

Also, we are going to look at surrogacy, that big old controversial method. I would just like some part of us in the baby, even if it has to be DH sperm only. My sister has told us she would do it. But it's illegal in Australia, so we have to work around that. But - that is one of the last resorts.

We have all the paper work for adoption, just haven't filed it. But if it comes down to it, we will.

I have thought about this - I don't plan to go own the IVF route, I just don't think I am mentally strong enough, I don't want to adopt either as I don't think I could love a child as much as I could one that is biologically mine. Nor do I fancy surragacy - I would be too jealous. If its not meant to be, then I will have to be the best auntie in the world. Anyone that can go through those things I think are really strong fantastic people (especially adoption)

And PoloPrincess - can I buy a sticky bean off ebay?????
