This is my first post on this forum. I have been ttc for 9 months now. I have used several types of OPK's and have always got a peak in LH around day 14/15. I have cycles lasting 28-31 days.

I have been using a CBFM for my last 2 cylces. The first month I only got highs. I can't remember what day I got my first high, but then I only got highs, no peak, up until day 25 when it went back to low.

This month the CBFM asked for the first test on day 9 then gave me a high reading straight away. I am now day 16 and still have a high but still no peak.

I have kept all the wee sticks and have them lined up in order (how sad!!). Looking at the sticks with the line window on the left on the first stick (day 9) the lines are pretty similar in shade. Then over the course on the 8 days the right hand line has gotten progressively fainter and the line on the left has got progressively darker. The right hand line is very faint today. almost not there and the left hand line is very dark.

What I need to know is what line is which hormone?

I am wondering if I am a very early ovulator and the CBFM has missed my LH peak?

If anyone can answer my questions I would be very greatful. I know CB say not to look at the lines but obviously the monitor works by shining a light through these lines and interpreting their shade so it would be helpful to know ehick line is which hormone.

Well, i can only go by my experiences.. I have at average 31 days cycles . on the first cbfm cycle it asks for sticks on the 6th day as its getting to know you. It now only asks me at cd 9, and ive had peaks on slightly different days but not far off the mark. (one day off here or there)

What i would say is, it is conceivable you've had a late or early ov and highly unlikely the cbfm is wrong. I have never thought to look at any lines, sorry, i just stick it in the machine and thats me..

I'm in a similar situation. I have rec. a definite positive OPK
but still only highs on my monitor.

I'm not sure which one is the LH line. I know they have a website
and a phone support - you could ask them about it?

i dunno hun, i look at the lines but they don't seem to change even when my sticks have gone from low to high, not had a peak yet but its my first cycle using cbfm xx good luck xx

Ok, the line that gets fainter is the line the measures your Estrogen and the other line that gets darker is the LH. Check this: http://peeonastick.com/opkfaq.html#14

How exactly do you take the test? Some girls here have had issues with getting only high results and then figured they weren't doing it 100% correctly.

i pee on stick put cap on the straight into the machine. I ovulate ate so i think its prob right, was just hoping it would be earlier this month

Just wondering if you are or have been taking medications? Some medicines affect the reliability of the readings...

Also, if you have high levels of estrogen it can sometimes block out the LH readings and 'confuse' the monitor.

I would contact the helpline, in case your monitor is faulty if it happens next month too...

I have been poas then straight into the monitor. This morning I pee'd in a pot then dipped for 15 seconds. The line that is getting darker was darker again today but the monitor still only read a high, still no peak.

I will press on and try and stay hopeful for a peak this month. Thank you for all you replies.

Not taking any meds Maz, only folic acid for the past 9 months!!
