Also, I've been meaning to ask the ladies that have been to it for a while (Maz, Tishimouse, Chebelle, NeyNey, miel, Wendy, etc). Does it get easier? Does one obsess a tad less with every cycle? So far this one feels better for me than the one past and the one before it.
Hi Kypris

The obsessing doesn't really get any less as each cycle passes ... but the frustration definitely increases. I find that the first week is the worst for me. It seems like forever before I can POAS or shows her ugly mug again. The second week I just try and tell myself that its not long before we can BD again. I guess I'm just that used to getting BFNs that I subconciously think that each month will be the same.

Good luck with your tww. I only have 5 days left - I think. Maybe its 6.

I think for me it will be the 2nd week. I am not good at waiting and am so impatient.

I must go buy some tests just in case!

I agree..the 2nd week is far worse. The first one i dont think about it much as i know there's not much to expect. But come the second, know you can realistically start to get symptoms and then the minf fu** of 'is it af or pg' starts. Also, because i got a few symptoms in the second week last time i was pg.. im sure to go mental this time, lol!!

The second is the worse. It really seems to drag and i make the smallest of symptoms seem like the biggest thing.

Lol.
I actually agree with Maz. The frustration levels certainly increase over time. I remember years ago I was always so excited about POAS and I'd be smiling through the whole wait, just expecting a BFP. When it dawned on me it was not going to be this easy POAS became a chore. and I very rarely expected a BFP - still don't. I try not to think negative, but oh well - after all this time it's hard not to.

I also find the first week the worse. Maybe it's a long term TTC thing? But I find the first week is the week you nit pick at everything, about the timing, about the position, about the legs in the air long enough, about the charting, about the waiting inbetween poas for the opks. Anything you can question, I will question. So during the second week I'm usually exhausted from stressing! so it just goes by, and by then you only have days to wait - so the count down is a little quicker.

*2nd*

I think the second week for me because in the first week I don't really get upset cause I'm looking forward to any symptoms or rays of hope and when I get into the second week and realize that I don't feel any different or that nothing different has happened from last month it's like the time is running out to get any signs that I might be pregnant so I can test early and not expect that ....but by the end of the second week I'm usually convinced that I'm not getting my BFP. Hopefully that will change soon.

Awww thankyou, not really though - i just don't see the point in both of us being stressed out and upset every month! Also i kinda think its different for men as there is more 'pressure' on them to perform! I worry that if he starts worrying about it all then it might affect his 'performance' and then that really really would be a problem!!!!! He's already told me i expect too much!!! ha ha ha, i said "expect too much? i'm blooming red raw sore but you don't hear me complaining"!!!!
