Ever have your period, ovulate and then skip your period and ovulate again?

Hi everyone:
The first day of my last AF was Dec 5th. I THOUGHT I recorded ovulation. I keep track with with the strips. But now I am confused. I should have started around Jan 1. Haven't started. I have taken a few HPT. The first few were WalMart Equate. Saw a faint line.... but then figured it was an evap because after 3 tests, it never got darker. And it was barely visable. After reading many online reviews, I've decided it's a junk test.

Today at lunchtime I took and ANSWER brand. I didn't see a line at all.

BUT I did take an OPK first thing in the morning and it was blazing positive! It's been positive the last few days. It's never been so positive, even on the days I THOUGHT I was ovulating.

Could I have skipped my period and ovulated again? Is it possible?

We currently have two children, so, I know I have ovulated in the past

I'm confused.

I don't think it's possible to ovulate and not get your period, unless you are pregnant.

It is possible that you didn't ovulate in December, you're body could have been all set up to do it (so +ve OPKs), but for whatever reason it didn't quite happen. So now you're body is trying again - get BDing is my advice, and let us know about you BFP in 14 days.
