Impatient..only been trying 3 months

...AF due in few days but just preying and hoping it won't come and I can take a test. I just want to wait to see if my AF misses before doing one as don't want the dissappointment of a BFN - although it is most likely.

I was on the pill (Loestrin 20) for 8 years and came off it in Sept 09 so not sure if thats the delay or if it's just me naturally...

Hey Cookie
We've only been trying a few months too but I'm feeling very impatient too! My period is due on Friday and sooooo want this to be our month. I want to take a test now but I know it's not going to make me feel any better! When's your AF due? I'm finding it difficult to think about anything else
One minute I've convinced myself I feel pregnant, the next definitely don't feel pregnant at all

Hi hun - it took me 6 months nearly, and we did everything 'right' so to speak, so wondered myself if it could have been the pill.

Incidentally I was on the same pill as you, was on it for 10 years nearly.

It felt like a lifetime of trying at the time but when we got our BFP I realised it's not that long really - just wanted to say don't worry - it will come!!!

Good luck and sticky dust

Hello, it took us around 2 years to conceive - don't worry, I'm sure that you won't have to wait that long. I found that the important thing was to try not to let it rule you. Stay positive and don't lurch from month to month pinning all your hopes on each one. We went to our GP to see if there was a problem, which there wasn't. It was just a matter of time, being positive and relaxed about the whole thing. By the way, I'm pregnant again. It happened almost as soon as we'd had the conversation about having a second child! The body is a funny thing. Just go with the flow and I'm sure it will happen. Good luck.

I think you're right it feels like an eternity when you're in the midst of it but it's really not that long.

Hi, thanks for your replies, my AF is due about now or Friday if I have my longest cycle. I ordered some tests on the internet so they will arrive Friday so hoping AF does not come before then! Just thinking if I have a few tests in the house I will probably be tempted to do them earlier in my cycles as will be impatient for AF!

For me every month is just as difficult as the next. It's torture to see those BFN's or get that dreaded AF - no matter how long you TTC for. Hopefully yours will come soon. Fx for you

It does get frustrating doesn't it. You can prepare for the long haul all you like, but it still dissapoints when the witch turns up.

Good to know I'm not alone!

Hi All,
I'm off the pill 6 months after 11 years on it. My cycle is 26 to 28 days since straight after I came off it so I think that's a good thing! But we decided to wait a few months before TTC to let the bod recover from the whole pill thing so really only been trying in earnest for the last 3 months. So far no luck but I know it's early days. However, I am kinda freakin out because I am about 4 stone overweight and 34 so I'm worried that we may have longer term probs!!! It's all so much to deal with and I don't want to talk myself into having problems but it's hard not to when you hear so much about fertility decreasing with weight and from age 35 on etc etc etc. But I think that maybe a regular cycle, positive ov tests and all the appropriate CMs etc seem to be a good indicator. Anyone agree???
