| Any1 else fed up of hearing 'It'll happen when you're not thinking about it'? SOOOOO many people tell me 'ah hon, you'll get pregnant when you're not thinking / worrying about it'. But the problem is - I can't stop thinking about it!!!
So, erm, does that mean I'll, like, NEVER get pregnant?!
Anyone here who got pregnant when they were worrying / thinking about it?! Ha ha! x |

I'm Currently Feeling: | Yea i was obsessed with it and was already thinking about what else i could buy in the hope of getting me pregant. So its bull even if your stressing over it,if its ment to be it will.I do believe tho the less stress the better chance tho but easier said than done. Its all worry, you worry if you will ovulate, then you worry that you might have bd to late, then you wrry that you may/maynot be caught, then you worry that it might not stick, its just endless lol but worth it |

I'm Currently Feeling: | God, yes, I am sick of hearing that because, with cycles that range from roughly 25 - 39 days (going on Ov date this month and luteal phase this cycle will be 39 days) its hard NOT to think about it. | | | | Status: Offline

I'm Currently Feeling: | I got pg when i finally gave up..well more or less..
Having said that, im now more determined than ever and so is my OH, and i dont think its to be taken as a fact..i think its more of a ...'you get caught up in something else for a nano second and then suddenly you get pg'.., when maybe you weren't doing everything perfectly..i.e. you forget to take you prenatals a couple of times, or had a cold and didnt bd as much as you normally do..
Im sorry im not helping, just rambling on, lol.. point is thats what i think that saying means, to me anyway.
ps. Im gonna obsess all the way (in a calm and collected way of course, lol) AND i WILL get my bfp, anyway!!! So there. |

I think this saying falls into the same category as ' if i buy baby stuff i'll be jinxing things'...bo**x!!!
Its like saying being prepared is a bad thing... Because thats all im doing; im preparing to get pg and preparing to have a baby- its goood!!! lol
And we do it other parts of our life..like exams, weddings, driving tests..no one ever says your gonna fail if you focus on that, do they? Point made. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | well when I got pg I wasn't thinking about much.
Although, I read an interesting article about this very thing last night. It basically says that stress, unless it is very very high, will not impact your fertility. I ask you who has a stress free life? Not me I live with 4 males, DH and 3 boys(my nephews). Need I say more?
The fact is that when people say shit like that I just want to smack them. It's always the people with 5 kids, or the ones who know absolutely nothing about it! It's patronizing and hurtful. So I'm with you. People suck sometimes. I guess we could start a new thread entitled, 'things to say when...'
Anyway, don't listen to them and here's a

I'm Currently Feeling: | I was the same - always thinking about it no matter how hard I tried not to but then one month after I got really fed up I did manage to stop thinking about it and was busy with other things so I didn't even know when I was ovuating and I BD'ed much less than usual.
That actually was the month I got my BFP and again I tested not thinking I'd be pregnant but couldn't remember when my AF was due. |

I'm Currently Feeling: | To me it seems that people who believe you don't get pg if you are thinking about it are just saying "I can't handle birth control and my child was an accident" not that they don't love their children...but I got pg while thinking about it...I am a perfectionist, planner, and control freak. |
