Post-pill amenorrhea HELP!

Hi ladies,

Here's the story:

I am 25 and I have been on b/c since 17ish. I had a period every month while on b/c pills then in 2007ish i switched to a form of "seasonale" and only got my period every 3 months.

I went off of b/c completed in March 2009 because my husband and I were gonna TTC. I had a period immediately after I came off...then skipped a month and had another regular one and skipped another couple of months and had one again...then nothing again. I went to see my OB and he said that my thyroids are fine. He prescribed my "progesterone" (provera) end of Oct and told me I should bleed at the end of the 10 day course...and if I do, then I'm fine.

So, i bled and had a period after that pill at the 3rd week of Nov. Since then, nothing again! I had major cramps couple of days ago and my nose bled...but I tested, not pregnant. I've gained like 5-7lbs (feels like bloating around period time) for the last month or so.

Any ideas? anyone w/ similar story who can help???

Correction, the b/c pill i was last on was Microgestin, a 13-week cycle...

I just got my first good period after coming off of the pill in april. I am about your age (26) with similar history of BC use(went on at 16, but have been on for about 8 years). I had periods every 6 weeks for three cycles after coming off the pill in april. From august to december, nothing. I was prescribed progesterone for 5 days. Nothing came of it. I got my period on my own two weeks after my last pill so it could not have been the progesterone. I am expecting my period around the 23rd, give or take a few days. Keep me posted on your progress and I will do the same. I am going to request you as a buddy.

I have been having cramps the last couple of days...thinking that it's my period...but nothing so far =( I'll let keep you updated with my status!!

It's so frustrating. I swear I had cramps for a good two months before I got my period...but then the cramps were insane. I hope this is it for you!! Fingers crossed!!!

Ok, so I have had some of the worst cramps ever all day. It's in the lower ab and it's actually more of a pressure than pain. Feels like something is pushing on me. On top of that, I've had to pee like a lot. But no period...any ideas from the ladies who've been pregnant?

Yikes.

I'm now on my 2nd "regular" cycle after coming off bcp in June! I didn't have a period after the withdrawal bleed until November. That was a very very very long wait to TTC. Gah!

OK, so I guess the cramps were from just a bladder infection =( (tmi..i know). Still no sings of AF. Never in my life had I wished AF to be here!! When my period was induced by the progesterone, I was soooo excited.

My OB says some women are just "irregular"....~_~

I was worried about that too after stopping the pill, but I didn't even have to get a period to get pregnant. After my withdrawal bleed I ovulated and got pregnant. Hope that helps you in some way.

Hi,
I'm the same was due my last depot in June 2009 and still nothing. With the snow the doctor hasn't been working so I'm trying Agnus Castus then seeing him again next month. I didn't see my own GP last time but and he wasn't cncerned about my lack of periods or anything, didn't want to do the the bloods I was told I should have when I started it 6years ago. Good luck hope your doctor is more helpful than mine.
