Finally booked to see GP again!

We've been TTC for one year now, I've ovulated twice in that time
I saw my doc a few months ago about it and she said it could all be pill-related, did the bloods (all okay) and said just keep on trying.
We discussed Clomid at the time but I was keen to give my body a chance to do things naturally.
Things haven't got any better, my cycles are still all over the place and I still don't seem to ovulate - I've tried agnus castus, soy, EPO, B vitamins to help things but with no results.
I've finally rung the GP to arrange another appointment this morning - going on Friday and planning to discuss Clomid again - hoping this could help us!
I spent most of 2009 wishing the days away, I'm determined 2010 will be more positive!
Anyone in a similar boat? Anything I need to bring up with her or ask about?

Hi Jen

I don't have any advice per se as I haven't been through this myself - but have seen you on a few of the other threads so wanted to say good luck...

It must have been hard to have been TTC for a whole year so I think it's great you're trying to find a solution. Keep the thread updated and let us know how the appointment goes.

I've just read your thread and your issue with cycle / ovulation.

I have similar issues, i've been to my gp and she put me on tablets to regulate my cycle ( which i am taking at he moment ), i was sent to a consultant who diagnosed post pill ammenohrea , he told me to lose weight even though i'm a size 14 and stop trying so hard and come back to see him on the 28th june.

I was hopping you could keep me posted as i desperate to try clomid but not sure if my gp will prescribe it as i though it had to be very closely monitored due to hyper stimulation.

I've been trying for 12 month how long for you ?

I hop you dont mind me asking

Not in a similar boat as such... but I know what you mean by wishing the days away... for the 1st week, I'm sad, the 2nd week I'm gearing up for BD, the 3rd week I'm impatient and the 4th week I'm either anxious, excited or both. I really don't know what 'normal' feels like anymore and we have only been TCC for 3 months with NTNP for a few months before that. It has taken over my life and I need to take drastic action PS CD1 again today hence the rant... sorry.

Hello Mrs N

10 cycles in 12 months isn't too bad hun...how do you know that you only ov'd for 2 of them? Are you temping?

I too have long cycles and my GP isn't convinced that i ov on all of them...which like you makes this journey feel impossible

I have had blood tests and have now got a referal to the fertilty clinic...which im looking on as positive

The best advice i can give at this stage is persevere with your GP, take a Prenatal and keep as fit and healthy as possible. Another suggestion that has cropped up a few times is Acupunture. I have not tryed this...but might be worth researching. Good luck xxxx

Mrs RM yes I temp and use OPKs. when I have ov'd it has given me a very very clear temp shift & I had a hugely positive OPK, so I know I don't ov the rest of the time.
I know my cycles are not hugely long, but they are just as useless as really long ones lol!

notquitesure I've got to the point where I welcome CD1 because it's a fresh start!
