my friend who is in her late 40's swears she conceived all 3 of her children 3 days after her period finished and said this as far as she knows by the signs is when she ovulates.

ovulation depends on the individual i would recommend using ovulation strips to find out when you ovulate i did that back in january found out when i ovulate and just bd around the same cycle day from then and now just found out on good friday am pregnant. Of course everyone is different hope this helps.

It could be correct. Ovulation doesn't follow a textbook really. Some women ovulate extremely early in the month, some extremely late. There are even times when women ovulate twice in a month. It's enough to do your head in when you think about it all.

thanks guys i agree with what you both say

i just got my ovulation strips today so will be peeing from the 1st april to find out when i ovulate as i am due on on the 25th april.

thanks i think i am just getting sooo confused and she hadnt even heard that averagely we ovulate 14days prior to starting our period so now she thinks she has the problem! i of course told her everyone is different but i was certainly intriqued that she ov'd 3 days after.

It is confusing isn't it! It's so important as well!
We must be the most prepared TTC girls in the world but there is always another question we need to ask!
I'm sure I know more about conceiving than the biology teacher at school!!!
