First of all a great big CONGRATULATIONS to you both. I think it's brilliant too that you don't have any symptoms and hope it's a sign of a really easy pregnancy.
As for flying, I have lots of friends who have flown all throughout their pregnancies, but every person is different and it's important to realize this. The
FIRST and
THIRD trimesters are the ones to ask your GP about (I was cabin crew for over 10 years so honestly, I had to know all about the statistics). In fact I can boast that I helped deliver a baby on a flight once by a naughty asylum seeker who hadn't declared her pregnancy because she wanted the baby to be born in the UK. But that's a whole other story.
We also went to Dominican Republic for our honeymoon and it's quite a long flight to be worrying ...
However, I doubt your GP will tell you anything other than it's fine, but if you ask him then it will give you that extra little bit of confidence.
How exciting, wonderful news followed by a wonderful holiday. They say you get a better tan when your pregnant too.
