ruining my optimism!

so its 8 months now and nothing has happened yet. My mum keeps telling me i should get a d and c because of my adenomyosis as my periods are very heavy with loads of clots. I told her id think about it but id compleley changed my diet and started taking loads of herbs and vitamins (and oh as well). I know she wasnt being unsensitive but she said think of all the people in poor countries they get pregnant easily and have a poor diet so i dont think that will do anything! Ive been really proud of myself no sugar or chocolate no processed food all hand cooked organic and fresh and only decaf tea, no coke or stimulant drinks and loads of water....now i think i am kidding myself! Im meant to go back in 2 months to my gynacologist if nothing has happened but im scared of getting a laporoscopy done instead they say ive endo and its really bad and ill never get pregnant! Im also scared of being put to sleep and never waking up

Aw, bunny im sorry you're having a bad time with things..

But keep at it , do what you've been doing and well done you by the way! Keep following your docs advice and try not to worry about going 'to sleep and never waking up'. I know, easier said than done...

I realise its not the same but when i had a d&c due to my mc i can only say that going to sleep was the best part of it. I had a long conversation w/the anesthsiologist, attending theatre nurse and surgeon, once in theatre the nurse stroked my arm and the anesthesiologist gave me a shot through a needle in my hand..thats the last i remember... it was good though..., felt better coming out than going in..possibly due to drugs, lol.

If you do decide you need to go for an op..keep in mind there are people specifically trained to make sure you are ok while under, like an anesthesiologist..

Whatever happens to you in the future i hope the sun smiles at you and you get what you want, *hugs* xxx

I can understand your fears with the Lap, i had them too but i still went through it. Wanting to know answers and being a step further to a baby was enough to convince me to go ahead with it.

It really isnt that bad and there will be people there trained to keep watch on you.

Oh Caroline I am sorry to hear you are feeling so down. I was also hoping for a BFP this month and I was a day late but the got me. We are now going into month 9 and I am getting scared too. My OH was at the docs recently to get tablets to help stop smoking and he had a chat with him about ttc. He said that the doctor wasn't concerned and that it can take up to 1-2 years which we all know. However, I cant help thinking that if everything was in working order then it would have happened by now. I have had bloods done which confirmed ovulation but not sure what the next step would be.

I think you are like me and that its playing tricks on your mind. I know its easy to say but think we do need to try and stay relaxed. What did your GP say when you went?

my gp said well come back in a year if nothing had happened your young (25) so because of that they might not do anything until 18 months ttc.! This really pissed me off but she also said she thought prenatal vitmains were a waste of money(except folic acid). My gynaecologist only gave me 6 months worth of pain relief for my adenomyosis so i should be back to see him in 2 months because he told me 'you will have no problems getting pregnant so i will only give you the meds for 6 months as you wont need all of it'...hmmm he said as i was ttc he wouldnt do a lap and if i hadnt been he would because theres more than enough evidence to suggest endo elsewhere...this is whay his confidence baffled me! So im going to go back to the gp next week and sort out an appointment to see him again in a month or so. The drugs he gave me havnt worked for the pain in fact im nit taking them with this af (using nurofen instaed) its the only thing that does anything for the pain).
