Anyway, I am sure that the quick weight loss contributed to me getting pregnant and I am now 24 weeks pregnant so I can't really help with the ttc part but since being pregnant I have not had any negative comments from the anyone involved. I asked the midwife about it during my first appt and she said there should not be a problem - only that she might have difficulty measuring the fundal size etc but she measured it for the first time this week and she could find it with no problem. I really hope things go well for you all.

WOW well done!! and CONGRATULATIONS!

Thankyou both. Baby was def a surprise as I thought I would never be able to get pregnant at the size I am but guess I was very lucky. Surgeon isn't happy with me though!

I am also overwieght. BMI of 30. It doesn't help when you have a younger sister who is stick thin like i do and got pregnant whilst on the pill, let alone trying to, it gets depressing. I have tried every diet under the sun and none of them work. I now eat healthy food and hardly ever eat junk, however the weight still wasn't coming off. I then joined the gym and three months on, I'm not loosing weight(muscle weighs more than fat), however i have noticed that i am loosing inches and my clothes fit much better, also i have to run faster to get my heartrate up, so i am getting fitter too. I just wanted to say that you may find like me, that dieting no matter how healthy your diet is may not work, Exercise is the only thing that has ever worked for me.
Good Luck Ladies, and if we all think positive i'm sure we'll all get our BFP's in no time.
xx

Ladies I just wanted to wish you luck! Look at your photos, you all are attractive! You all have OHs, you must be beautiful people! Think of all those slim, lonely, unhappy, single people!
A couple of things that may help:
  • DO NOT diet! Even the word makes my body think it is starving! It is all about what and how much you eat.
Someone's already said it but drink loads of water, put ice and lemon in it if you don't like the taste.
  • Increase how much you move. Sounds funny but if you say 'go the gym' or 'exercise' to me - i get depressed and think i can't be bothered, Oh i'm lazy, guilt, guilt, pressure etc. You must fidgit, extra house work, walk shop for paper (no treats while you're there though!!) and BEST of all more effort into sex. To put it bluntly - go on top, lots of pumping action, moving hips, suck your tummy in in doggy position (i'll leave it there, i think you get the idea!) Your OH will love it so winners all round!

I guarantee you make SMALL changes and slowly you will see adifference that lasts!

I'm overweight too, I have a BMI of 28 and need to loose about 2 stone. I lost lots last year to get married, but stupidly put it all (and some) back on.

I am coming towards the end of my 4th cycle of ttc and no luck yet, so I am on a stict diet for the next month, hoping to shift a stone.

Hi All

I am also overweight and have been ttc for just over 2 years. I have just joined a gym and go 2 or 3 times a week for about an hour each time and my dh has already said that he can notice the change in my shape! As well as the extra weight I carry around, AF is very irregular and I have cycles of around 50-60 days!! I have an appointment to see the doc tomorrow and am going to ask about clomyd as I don't think that I am ovulating!!

Congratulations to everyone that is expecting and good luck and lots of baby dust to everyone ttc!
