Had my Doctors Appointment.........

...................And I am still none the wiser.

My usual doctor wasn't available so I had to see another one.
After telling him my symptoms:
I am two and a half weeks late, REALLY tender bbs with darker nipples and small bumps appeared around them and also a "burning" sensation (I don't know hoe else to describe it), nausea (but not sick) really bad heartburn and funny cramps and twinges. I also told him that my 3 hpt's that I have taken are all negative though. He says "I think you probably are pregnant but just wait another two or three weeks to see if your period arrives and take another test."

Noooo I can't wait that looong!!!! He said the negatives could be because it takes some women up to 8 weeks for the hcg to show in the urine..... so I asked if I could have a blood test and he said they only did them if they were worried something was wrong.

I'm so confused!!! Should I go to a family planning clinic instead or just wait it out and keep POAS????

That must be incredibly frustrating for you. Is your regular doctor coming back soon? Is there a way you could get in with him? He might be more sympathetic to your situation and send you for the blood tests.

How frustrating .. i bet the wait up until now has been bad enough let alone another 2 weeks.

I'd go to FP clinic hun, and just not mention you've been to docs yet, see what they say

I agree i would try somewhere else also.... sometimes doctors just don t work with you. x

i agree! you should really be given the opportunity to get bloods done!! good luck!

Hi I am in exactly the same position...I am 16 days late for my period never had this before usually very regular...waited till a week after was due and tested, BFN, then waited another week and again negative! Its so unbelievably frustrating!!! I also went to my doc who told me to wait another 3 weeks and would not do me a blood test so think this must be the norm?
Please let me know how you get on..nice to know im not the only one!!! x x

you could also try going up to A&E and speaking to them - they will do your bloods? good luck - i hope you get your BFP soon.

Wow LadyV looks like we are in the same boat!

to us both and lets hope we get some bfp's soon. Thanks ladies, theres a drop in clinic after work tonight so I'll let you know how I get on xxx
