My temp dropped this morning, is it a sign that AF is on her way? I'm really confused about my temps after O and haven't had much temping experience yet.
Also wondering why the temp didn't rise much when I O'd?
Think the dip in temp normally tells you af is on her way as think youre temp is meant to stay elevated for like 15-18 consecutive days if youre preg. Ive been reading up on this too as this is my first month charting temp but i use opk's too so i knew id ovd anyway but just wanted to check my temp was doing what its meant to. Heres some of what i read:
"The rise in temperatures can most commonly be seen the day after ovulation, but this varies and BBTs can only be used to estimate ovulation within a three day range.[2]
If pregnancy does not occur, the disintegration of the corpus luteum causes a drop in BBTs that roughly coincides with the onset of the next menstruation.
