Just so you know...TMI alert! lol

ok well I am 7DPO today and ever since we last bd'd I seem to have been having some problems um, down there? with some itching? it's very unladylike lol, I also had a SUPER abundance of very pasty and sometimes chunky CM, since about 1DPO-3DPO, it's a lot better, still some itchiness but CM is significantly less and not chunky just regular. There was no smell really to it except one time (I am so sorry this is way too much info right now lol) it smelled like fish? Then nothing. I have been drinking a lot of water and eating a lot of yogurt (my mom advised that incase it is a vag infection. Does anyone know what it could be? This is the first time this has happened and I recall having some vaginal issues the first time around when I was pregnant I think? Could this be a sign of being pg or am I just dealing with a vaginal infection or irritation? It's not like we bd'd too rough or too much, not anymore than usual around that time....just wondering, it had crossed my mind and I'm probably reading too much into it lol, oh well.

Sounds like it could be a yeast infection. Those are the symptoms when I had them. They're no fun at all! I was crying my eyes out because it itched so bad.

thanks ladies!

I just am trying to flush it all out with water and cranberry juice, my mom had said the live cultures in yogurt would be good so i am eating a lot of yogurt...it's definitely better than it was, the cm lasted 2 days and the bad itching 3, now i'm barely itchy and my CM is back to what it should be at this point, but I'm still watching it in case it's isn't completely gone or comes back if it is, and need to call my doc.

so fun to be a woman sometimes!

Hiya I get a similar thing on a regular basis. I went to my dr last year and he said that since I have been on Clomid, I will be producing more cm, which can irritate 'down there' and cause thrush or a yeast infection. I have been using Vagisil whenever I get itchy which is usually just before AF and sometimes after bd-ing. That seems to help alot. Also, sometimes having a bath and making sure I am completely dry before going to bed sooths it a little. I hope you feel better soon.

hey ladies! yes it's a LOT better now if not completely gone, as soon as I started drinking tons of water and cranberry juice and the yogurt it definitely went away, it was never severe, lasted just only 2-3 days then cleared up, now I'm fine, even bd'd last night, and no weird smells, and no more itching, i never had any pain or burning with it. in fact, my CM seems to have completely dried up since yesterday lol! (I am 8DPO)

miel - completely better, still keeping an eye down there but no itching, no CM at all really! talk to you soon hun!

priya - that's why I had originally posted it, i thought i had read that somewhere too and it had been niggling at the back of my mind as a possibility, i was hoping lol.

chellebelle - thanks for the tips hun!

It might be bacterial vaginosis. I get it about 3 times a year and this is why my Dr said I get it.....(TMI coming up)
I have a massive paranoia about my personal hygeine. I cant bear to feel like I'm not sparkly clean, fresh and lovely down there. Wont let my hubby anywhere near unless I am squeeky lemon fresh!!! After sex (apart from when we are TTC) i need to wash thoroughly. I'm talking REEEEALLY thouroughly.....I'd get a brush up there with the shower head if I could....
BV can occur when you over wash and take away all of the good bacteria - you need a certain amount to keep the balance right - and the result is some discharge, not necessarily smelly and some itching. You need to see a Dr and they give you a particular anti biotic which rebalances everything. After that wash yourself with either a special intimate wash or just water. This is all very well until you are TTC and you get squidgy down there every other day (or more) and maybe leave it hanging around longer when you're doing your handstands etc!!
xx
