Spotting at 5 dpo??

So, as some of you may remember, my ovulation seemed to have been quite late this month. And now, at 5 dpo (CD 26), I've just noticed some creamy CM with a teensy tiny bit of pinkish blood in it.

Thoughts?

i dont think its outrageous to think it might be implantation. You can only really estimate O so.........could be. Do you get spotting before AF usually?? I know you said this isnt quite spotting at the mo.

If ur not 100% sure when u OV'd, you might have actually OV'd earlier than u thought and therefore, this cud be IB (usually occurs 7-10 days after OV, right?). x

Well, here's what happened....I was due to ovulate on CD 15 or 16...but I definitely didn't and continued having lots of wet cm and even some ewcm for days after that. Finally, on CD 21, I finally got a few sharp pains in my left ovary (really felt like ovulation), followed by general soreness in my left ovary area...and the CM dried up the following day. So I'm pretty sure I ovulated on CD 21. Now...if I had ovulated on CD 15, as I was supposed to, I'd be expected to get my period on March 17 (which would be CD 30). Given my late ovulation, FF has recalculated expected period start at CD 37.
IF my period comes at the originally expected time, I will have had....ready??....a 6 day luteal phase.
For the past two months, I have had very very light spotting 2 days prior to the beginning of AF. I'm just praying that AF doesn't show up 6 days after ovulation. Forget being pregnant...I can live with trying for another month. But having a 6 day luteal phase?!?!?....That would be very very terrible.

Well, here we are...6 dpo and now I have brown discharge/CM. It's still pretty light, but I'm WAY WAY WAY more inclined to believe it's a ridiculously early period (and therefore my cycles have completely gone to hell), rather than implantation bleeding... F**K!!!!!!

Oh...and for those of you wondering how I could call it a "ridiculously early period", when my ticker says that I should be testing in 3 days, well, the reason is because I ovulated extremely late this month...so theoretically my period should be delayed...

Hey CChick

You cant be sure you O'd on CD21 though can you. You're only going from 'secondary signs' ie. CM, pain etc so if AF comes dont get too hung up on having a short luteal phase as you might be worrying over nothing.
