OPK?

I did my first ovulation test today because today should have been the day I was OV-ing. The test was negative however, or the line was lighter then the control line and that means negative? That part is kind of confusing to me, lol. I guess I just need to know the basics on these tests, lol. They are the ones that are just like PG tests.

Opks pick up the lutenizing hormone which is a pre-cursor to ovulation. Its too late to use them when you think you are O'ing as you might have finished surging already, you need to start using them the days before O so you know when its on its ways. For it to be a + they test line needs to be as dark or darker than the control line. I would get bding to cover your bases hun! Good luck!

Of course we BD'd, lol. & thanks! I will start doing the testing about a week before!

I was about to say exactly what WannaB said. If you ovulated today, an OPK would not pick up the LH surge as that would have happened 12-36 hours prior to ovulation. Good job on the BD'ing.
